Long-time Raiders defensive end Ben Davidson died Monday night. He was 72. Davidson gained fame as a member of the Raiders. He played for the the Raiders from 1964-71, appearing in 110 games for the team. Raiders owner Mark Davis said by phone that Davidson passed away after a lengthy illness. "He was larger than life to me," Davis said. "The handlebar mustache, the motorcycle-riding. He was a rebel. ... (He was) one of so many unique individuals on the Raiders."
