NFL, NFLPA Agree To Reduce Isolation Time To Five Days

Dec 30, 2021 2:40 PM

The NFL and NFLPA have agreed to reduce the isolation time for players who test positive for COVID-19 down to five days for all players.

The agreement includes both vaccinated and unvaccinated players and is contingent on the player being asymptomatic, or at least demonstrating that his symptoms are resolving, after the five-day period.

Under the previous protocol, unvaccinated players were required to isolate for 10 days from when they test positive. Vaccinated players can "test out" of isolation sooner than five days.

Since Dec. 13, approximately 515 players have tested positive.

NFL Salary Cap Likely To Reach $208.2M In 2022

Dec 5, 2021 8:52 AM

The NFL salary cap is expected to reach the $208.2 million maximum agreed upon by the NFL and the NFLA in May.

The salary cap this season is $182.5 million, which down from $198.2 million in 2020.

Players are still "paying back" what amounted to a low-interest loan that allowed players to continue making full salaries and bonuses in 2020 despite empty stadiums.
