Teams Will Forfeit Game If They Have Non-Vaccinated Outbreak

The NFL has sent a memo informing all teams that any regular season cancellations due to a COVID-19 spike from a given team's non-vaccinated players/staff will lead the team to forfeit the game. 

The players and staff will also lose a game check under this scenario.

No games were canceled lat year though several were postponed.

Packers Revenue Dropped 27 Percent During Pandemic

The operating revenues of the Green Bay Packers dropped nearly 27 percent during the most recent fiscal year. The Packers did not have paying spectators at Lambeau Field until the playoffs.  

The Packers reported $409.8 million in expenses and $371.1 million in revenues. That's the first time since 2000 the team spent more money than it brought in.

The team had a record $506.9 million in revenues a year earlier.

"The pandemic had a significant impact on our finances. But that said, I think the Packers remain in a very strong position financially," Packers CEO/president Mark Murphy said at a Friday news conference.

Richard Sherman Released, Now Facing Four Misdemeanors

Richard Sherman has been released from King County (Wash.) Correctional Facility following a King County judge's order of his release without bail.

Sherman is scheduled to appear in court Friday for a second hearing to face four misdemeanor charges -- criminal trespass (domestic violence designation), malicious mischief, DUI and resisting arrest -- stemming from his arrest on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old was arrested near Seattle and booked for resisting arrest, malicious mischief and burglary domestic violence.

Apple In Talks To Acquire NFL Sunday Ticket

Apple is in early talks with the NFL for bringing Sunday Ticket to Apple TV+.

Sunday Ticket now airs on DirecTV, which has a deal until 2022.

Disney’s ESPN Plus and Amazon’s Prime Video are also interested.
