Duerson's Family Sues NFL

The family of former Bears player Dave Duerson has filed a wrongful death suit against the NFL over his suicide, according to an ESPN.com report. The suit was filed Thursday in Chicago on behalf of Duerson's children. Duerson died on Feb. 17, 2011, of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.

Vikings Reach Tentative Deal On TCF Stadium

The Vikings say they have reached a tentative deal with the University of Minnesota on how much the team will pay to use TCF Stadium while a new stadium is being built. Team spokesman Lester Bagley declined to name a dollar amount, but said the "agreement in principle" would add about 3,000 temporary end zone seats to the 50,000-seat stadium.

60 More Former Players Sue Over Concussions

Another 60 former players have joined the growing list of men who are suing the NFL for the chronic consequences of concussions suffered while playing the game. The suits were filed in two separate locations on Friday. In Philadelphia, 49 players were added to a pending federal action that reflects the consolidation of numerous other suits. Meanwhile, a new suit was filed in New Orleans on behalf of 11 players, including former quarterback John Fourcade.

Report: Vikings Have Preliminary Stadium Agreement

The Vikings have reached a preliminary agreement with Minneapolis and the state of Minnesota on a new stadium, according to a report. The report, which cited multiple sources, said the sides agreed on the division of costs for a $975 million stadium on a site at or near the Metrodome, the team's home since 1982. Sources claim the city would pay $150 million in construction costs and roughly $180 million in operating costs over the next 30 years, while the state would pay $398 million and the Vikings would pay $427 million.

Rey Maualuga Charged With Assault

Bengals linebacker Rey Maualuga has been charged with assault stemming from a downtown Cincinnati bar incident. The 25-year-old was cited with the misdemeanor count on Friday after investigating allegations by a bar employee that Maualuga punched him in the face early last Sunday morning. Maualuga was fined by the NFL two game checks and part of his signing bonus in 2010 after he pleaded guilty to drunken driving charges in northern Kentucky.

Reports: Knowshon Moreno Arrested For DUI

Knowshon Moreno was arrested on drunken driving charges in Denver last week, according to multiple reports. The Broncos running back was pulled over while driving up to 70 mph in a Bentley convertible with personalized license plates that read "SAUCED." The area's posted speed limit is usually 65 mph, but is currently at 45 mph because of construction, according to a report.
