Vilma To File Injunction Of Year-Long Ban

If Roger Goodell doesn't overturn his suspension, Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma has informed a federal judge that he will file an injunction of his year-long ban. WWLV-TV in New Orleans reported Vilma's intention to file the injunction and posted a link to the letter he sent to Judge Helen G. Berrigan.

Jamal Anderson Charged With DUI

Former Falcons running back Jamal Anderson is facing a charge of driving under the influence after an officer pulled him over just northeast of Atlanta. DeKalb County police say Anderson was taken into custody around 4:30 a.m. Sunday. Authorities said Anderson was booked into the DeKalb County Jail and released later Sunday after posting bond.

Aaron Berry Arrested On Suspicion Of DUI

Lions cornerback Aaron Berry was arrested early Saturday morning in Harrisburg, Pa., on suspicion of driving under the influence. "I want to offer a sincere apology to the Lions organization, Lions fans, the coaches and all my teammates for my actions this past weekend," Berry said in a statement on his agency's Facebook page. "This is not the example I want to set for young people and it's certainly not what my team and coaches expect from me. I promise to do everything in my power to make sure this never happens again. I understand these are just words and it will be my future actions that ultimately will speak for me." At one stage earlier this month, the Lions accounted for five of the 21 player arrests in the NFL this offseason.

Jerry Sandusky was convicted Friday of sexually assaulting 10 boys over 15 years, accusations that had sent shock waves through the Penn State college campus. Sandusky, a 68-year-old retired defensive coach who was once Joe Paterno's heir apparent, was found guilty of 45 of 48 counts. He faces life in prison at sentencing, which is weeks away.
