The Seahawks have signed Braylon Edwards to a one-year deal.
Seattle expects Edwards to compete for the role of No. 2 wide receiver in training camp.
"I like what they've got going on out here. Just walking and talking to these guys when I came on an interview last year it's a high-positive organization. There is a lot of positivity and you can see the energy these guys have. These guys are happy to come out here and play for coach (Pete) Carroll and their position coaches and it seems like they have the thing moving in the right direction."

Carroll 'Concerned, Disappointed' About Lynch
Pete Carroll discussed Marshawn Lynch on Saturday.
The Seahawks running back could face discipline from the NFL following his arrest for driving under the influence this offseason.
"This is something we really can't talk about. Marshawn and I have been on the topic since the first day of it," Carroll said.
"We've had very good communication about it. There is a process going on that we can't even really talk about it. But I'm pleased the way he has worked with us so we understand what is going on. This is a process that really has to take a life of its own and we have to follow that through."
Carroll admitted that he was disappointed in Lynch, who pleaded not guilty earlier this week to charges of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
"Always concerned and disappointed when anybody gets in any kind of trouble of any kind and didn't know the facts, didn't know anything about it," the coach said of his initial reaction.
"We talked our way through it, understand it and I was pleased the way we were able to interact so we could be on top of it. We'll make it through."
Seahawks Add Antonio Bryant To Receiving Corps
The Seahawks added depth to its wide receiver unit by signing Antonio Bryant on Thursday.
Bryant had a tryout with the teram during June's minicamp. Coach Pete Carroll said he didn't feel Bryant was in football shape then and wanted to see if he could get himself ready in the month between the tryout and training camp.
Chris Clemons, Seahawks Agree To Multi-Year Deal
Chris Clemons and the Seahawks have agreed upon a multi-year agreement, according to sources.
Clemons' decision to skip a mandatory minicamp will not cost him $1 million in 2012 salary. Clemons had been scheduled to make $4 million this season, but it decreased to $3 million after skipping camp due to the language of his contract with the Eagles in 2008.
Clemons has 11 sacks in each of the Seahawks’ past two seasons as one of the better pass-rushing defensive ends in the NFC.
Lynch Apologizes For DUI Arrest
Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has apologized following his arrest last weekend on charges of driving under the influence in Northern California.
"I want to apologize to my family, the Seattle Seahawks, the NFL and the 12th Man for the negative attention resulting from my recent actions," Lynch said in a statement.
"This is not the type of community leader I have been over the last two years or the one I'm striving to become. I want to assure everyone that I will work to be better and look forward to a very exciting, and very successful season with the Seattle Seahawks."
Marshawn Lynch Arrested For DUI
Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was arrested early Saturday in the Oakland area for investigation of DUI, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Lynch was taken to the Santa Rita Jail, where he was cited and later released.
Officer Peter Van Eckhardt says Lynch took a chemical test but it wasn't clear whether that was a blood or breath test.
Seahawks Saved $3.25M By Cutting Mike Williams
The Seahawks saved themselves $3.25 million by cutting wide receiver Mike Williams loose last week.
Williams was due a base salary of $3 million in 2012. If he had been on the roster as of Week One, the amount would have essentially been fully guaranteed.
He also was eligible to earn per-game roster bonuses in the amount of $15,625, for a full-season total of $250,000.
Seahawks Release Mike Williams
Mike Williams' career that was reignited with the Seahawks in 2010 came to an end Friday when he was suddenly cut by the team two weeks before the start of training camp.
"We would like to thank Mike for his contributions over the past two seasons and we wish him well in the future," GM John Schneider said in a statement.
Tarvaris Jackson Feels At Home With Seahawks
Tarvaris Jackson feels comfortable entering his second season with the Seahawks. The quarterback was forever on shaky ground with the Vikings.
"It just feels a lot different in Seattle," Jackson told KSTP-AM in St. Paul. "I feel like I'm welcome there. It was like home. It's a fresh start for me. I was looking forward to it, looking forward to getting that new start somewhere, and so far, it's been good."
Jackson earned the respect of teammates last season by playing through a painful pectoral injury, but is battling Matt Flynn and rookie Russell Wilson for playing time this summer.
Is Mike Williams On Seattle's Roster Bubble?
Seahawks wide receiver Mike Williams may find himself without a job soon.
After being out of the NFL for two years, Williams led the Seahawks with 65 catches and 751 yards in 2010.
However, he fell off the map during an injury-plagued 2011, putting up only 236 yards in 12 games.
He's coming off a broken leg and is no longer a lock to make Seattle's roster.
Wilson Isn't Worried About His Height
Seahawks rookie quarterback Russell Wilson has been criticized because he's short.
