Seahawks, Lynch Not Close To New Deal
The Seahawks and Marshawn Lynch have discussed a new contract, but a source says the two sides are not yet close to a deal.
Though the two sides are talking, the breakthrough still hasn't come. Seattle is expected to use the franchise tag on Lynch if the deal isn't done before March 5.

The Seahawks are deep in talks with Marshawn Lynch about a long-term contract.
A deal may be completed by March 5, but if talks fall apart Seattle could place their franchise tag on the running back, according to a source.
Seahawks Won't 'Panic' Over Quarterback Situation
The Seahawks may be in the market for a quarterback this offseason, whether it be via trade, free agency or the draft.
"I've been blessed to be around a lot of really good quarterback people that have taught me a lot about the position," general manager John Schneider said. "So I just kind of incorporate that with the quarterbacks I've been around. I just try to take all the information possible from everybody I've been around.
"I just know if you panic at the position, it can set the organization back. So we're not going to do that."
Seahawks To Re-Sign Breno Giacomini
The Seahawks and free agent offensive lineman Breno Giacomini have agreed to a two-year contract extension.
According to the NFL Players Association website, Giacomini will make $1.5 million in base salary for the 2012 season and $3 million in 2013.
Giacomini played in 15 games and made eight starts on the Seahawks offensive line last season, filling in at a variety of spots.
Seahawks Want To Host Future Super Bowl
The Seahawks have expressed an interest in hosting a future Super Bowl by submitting the initial paperwork to the league.
The Super Bowl Advisory Committee must now invite the Seahawks to submit an official bid.
Lofa Tatupu Returning To NFL
The Seahawks released Lofa Tatupu last summer and a source says the linebacker didn't play because of a knee injury.
"It was just injury-related," the source said. "He wasn't 100 percent and didn't feel he was ready to go."
Now he's ready to return to the NFL and a number of teams have already expressed interest.
