Visanthe Shiancoe rejected a one-year, $1.2 million offer from the Seahawks earlier this offseason, according to a report.
Shiancoe visited Seattle on March 19, well before they acquired Kellen Winslow.

Jackson To Get First-Team Reps With Seahawks
Tarvaris Jackson appears to be in good position to begin the season as Seattle's starting quarterback.
Jackson will work with the first team when training camp begins next month, according to a report.
He is competing with free-agent signee Matt Flynn and rookie Russell Wilson for the No. 1 job.
Source: Clemons, Seahawks Still Talking
A team source says that contrary to reports, the Seahawks and defender Chris Clemons are still discussing a possible contract contract extension.
Len Pasquarelli of the Sports Xchange reported that the defensive end has turned down a three-year, $18 million extension from the team.
Clemons, who turns 31 on Oct. 30, is in the final year of his contract that will pay him $4 million in base salary in 2012.
Clemons Rejects Extension Offer, Plans To Hit Free Agency
Chris Clemons has unexpectedly held out of Seattle's mandatory minicamp and he could be leaving the city next summer.
Len Pasquarelli of the Sports Xchange reports that the veteran defensive end has decided not to sign an extension with the Seahawks, opting instead to become a free agent in 2013.
The Seahawks offered to convert his current deal, which pays a base salary of $4 million in 2012, into a three-year contract with $8 million in 2012, $4.5 million in 2013, and $5.5 million in 2014.
Seahawks Pass On Signing Brian Banks
The Seahawks have decided to pass on signing free-agent Brian Banks.
Banks is a former top prospect that spent five years in prison and five years wearing an electronic tracking bracelet after accepting a plea deal on one count of forcible rape.
That conviction was overturned when his accuser admitted that she had lied.
Banks is scheduled to workout with the 49ers next week and has been linked to other teams as well.
Winslow Couldn't Toe Line Under Schiano
Kellen Winslow admitted that he chafed under the exacting style of rookie Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano.
The Seahawks tight end admitted unhappiness over the departure of former coach Raheem Morris led Tampa Bay to trade him last month.
Winslow was traded to Seattle for a sixth- or seventh-round draft choice in 2013.
"Schiano came over there and he (yelled), 'Toes on the line! Toes on the line!' Blowing the whistle. You can't laugh. You can't joke around. So, I decided not to go to OTAs," Winslow said.
"They got my man Rah (Raheem Morris) up out of there, and I was loyal to him. I would take a bullet for that dude. So, I had to roll, man."
Seahawks Focusing On Better Pass Protection
The Seahawks improved their pass protection over the second half of the 2011 season, but they are still focused on that part of the game this offseason.
Seattle allowed 50 sacks, fourth in the NFL.
"I'm personally disappointed in how we protected the quarterback, and we've made that a big emphasis to clean it up," offensive line coach Tom Cable said.
The Seahawks had to figure their offensive line would experience early growing pains while breaking in two rookies without the benefit of an offseason.
Antonio Bryant To Get Tryout With Seahawks
Antonio Bryant will join the Seahawks during the team's mandatory minicamp this week on a tryout basis, according to multiple reports.
The wide receiver has been out of the game for two seasons.
Bryant played for the Cowboys, Browns, 49ers and Buccaneers before a knee injury kept him from ever suiting up with the Bengals after inking a four-year, $28 million contract in 2010.
Carroll: Contracts Won't Factor Into Quarterback Competition
The Seahawks signed Matt Flynn to a three-year, $19 million contract, but Pete Carroll says contract status won't factor into the team's quarterback competition.
Tarvaris Jackson has a $4 million non-guaranteed base salary for 2012 and rookie Russell Wilson was a third-round draft choice.
"Draft picks and money and stuff like that is not going to play in the decision at all," Carroll told the News-Tribune.
"We're going to go with what it looks like through the competition and how they play, and the results of that, and how we feel about that."
Banks To Attend Minicamp With Seahawks
Brian Banks has accepted the offer of Seahawks coach Pete Carroll and will get a formal tryout with the team during its upcoming minicamp.
Banks was a one-time high school star at Long Beach Poly who last month was exonerated in a California rape case in which he was falsely accused. Banks served more than five years in prison.
Baldwin: No Clear Leader Between Flynn, Jackson
The Seahawks are creating an open competition at quarterback this spring with Tarvaris Jackson, Matt Flynn and Russell Wilson all competing.
Seahawks To Give Brian Banks Serious Look
Pete Carroll says the Seahawks intend to give Brian Banks a serious look and maybe even an invite to minicamp during his tryout on Thursday.
Seahawks Punished For Offseason Workouts
The NFL has punished the Seahawks for excessive offseason workouts.
