Dwayne Haskins Gave Halftime Speech Prior To Washington Rally

Sep 14, 2020 9:07 AM

With Ron Rivera needing a previously planned intravenous treatment at halftime, Dwayne Haskins gave a speech to the Washington Football Team as the team trailed the Philadelphia Eagles.

Rivera announced a cancer diagnosis last month. Washington trailed Philadelphia 17-0 before rallying for a 27-17 victory.

Haskins said he kept his message simple, telling the players:

"We're home. They're the visitors. There's no reason why we should be feeling like we're little bro to them in a sense. For me it was find a way to win."

NFL Takes Over Washington's Sexual Harassment Investigation

Sep 1, 2020 9:17 AM

The NFL has taken over the investigation by Beth Wilkinson into the Washington Football Team over alleged sexual harassment issues in the organization.

Roger Goodell informed Washington owner Dan Snyder of the change Monday night. Snyder claimed in a statement that it was his suggestion for the NFL to take over the investigation.

"Recently, The Washington Football Team launched an independent third-party investigation into allegations about our culture and incidents of harassment. In conversations with Commissioner Goodell, Tanya and I suggested that the NFL assume full oversight of the investigation so that the results are thorough, complete and trusted by the fans, the players, our employees and the public," Snyder said.

"I appreciate Commissioner Goodell agreeing to our suggestion and the entire Washington Football Team remains committed to fully cooperating with all aspects of the investigation."

Washington hired attorney Beth Wilkinson on the recommendation of Goodell to investigate the organization following a detailed story about sexual harassment charges published last month by the Washington Post.
