The Redskins have reached an agreement on a five-year deal with first-round pick Brian Orakpo.
Financial details of the deal weren't immediately available, and Orakpo becomes the 11th first-rounder to agree to terms.
"This was more nerve-racking than actually being drafted," Orakpo told the Redskins' web site. "You really want to get in because you know your teammates are there working and you want to get in to get started to have a miraculous season."

Redskins Aren't Interested In Vick
The Redskins still have no interest in signing Michael Vick.
Jason Reid of the Washington Post asked Redskins executive Vinny Cerrato if the team was interested in Vick, and the answer he received was a swift "no."
Redskins Sign Jeremy Jarmon
The Washington Redskins announced today that they have signed defensive end Jeremy Jarmon, who was selected by the team in the third round of the NFL Supplemental Draft on July 16.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 6-foot-3, 277-pound Jarmon was the only player selected in this year's Supplemental Draft and the first Supplemental Draft pick in Redskins history.
Jarmon started 31-of-39 career games at the University of Kentucky, finishing third in school history with 17.5 career sacks. Following his sophomore season in 2007, Jarmon earned All-Southeastern Conference second-team honors from the league's coaches and was a first-team selection by Rivals.com.
While playing in 13 games that season, Jarmon registered a team-high nine sacks, which was the fourth-highest total in the nation. He also finished fourth on the Wildcats with 62 tackles, including 13.5 stops for loss, and was awarded a share of the team?s most outstanding defensive player award.
Jarmon was born on Nov. 20, 1987, in Collierville, Tenn., and attended Houston High School in Germantown, Tenn.

Mike Williams Has Lost Nearly 100 Pounds
Redskins offensive lineman Mike Williams has lost nearly 100 pounds.
Williams started at 450 pounds, and a source told Pro Football Talk that he currently weighs 354.
The fourth overall pick in 2002 NFL Draft has a goal of 345, leaving him just nine pounds shy.
He hasn't played in the league in two years.
Redskins Get Jarmon In Supplemental Draft
The Washington Redskins have selected Kentucky defensive end Jeremy Jarmon in the third round of the NFL supplemental draft.
The Redskins will give up their third-round pick in the 2010 NFL draft.
Jarmon acknowledged in May he had been declared ineligible for his senior season by the NCAA because he tested positive for a banned substance. He said the result came from a dietary supplement.
The Redskins say he's the first player they've ever taken in a supplemental draft.

Haynesworth Receives Three Months Probation
Washington Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth has pleaded no contest to a reckless driving charge in Tennessee and will be on probation for three months.
Court records show Haynesworth entered his plea Thursday morning in the Nashville suburb of Franklin. He's required to perform 25 hours of community service, make a $5,000 charitable contribution and attend driving school.
The charge against the former Tennessee Titans player stems from a Dec. 13 incident in which prosecutors say Haynesworth tried to pass another driver, who crashed into a concrete median and was badly injured.
Weisman Leaves USA Today For Redskins
Larry Weisman has left USA Today to become the Editorial Director of the Redskins Media Department.
Weisman spent 26 years with USA Today.
