The NFL has postponed Sunday's game between the Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers to either Monday or Tuesday.

The postponement follows positive COVID-19 tests among the Titans from four players.

Mike Vrabel said Wednesday that some of the players who tested positive were experiencing flu-like symptoms.

"I know there's going to be a lot of questions about the game and about who's to blame and where it started. Nobody's to blame. We're in a pandemic," Vrabel said. "... This is a very unfortunate situation, but one that we're confident that we will be able to handle safely with the football team and the players' best interests in mind."

The NFL intends to play this weekend's Tennessee Titans-Pittsburgh Steelers game despite the fact that the Titans won't reopen their facility until at least Saturday after eight members of the organization tested positive for COVID-19.

While playing on Sunday remains the goal, the league has a contingency plan is in place to move the game to Monday night.

One of the contingency plans to allow for additional testing and contact tracing to occur would be to move the game to Monday night.

"This is not unexpected," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell wrote Tuesday to the chief executives and presidents for every team in a memo, which was obtained by ESPN. "There will be players and staff who will test positive during the season."

The Tennessee Titans had three new player positives and five new personnel positives for COVID-19 on Monday, according to sources.

The Titans and Minnesota Vikings, who hosted them on Sunday, have suspended in-person club activities.

Tennessee is scheduled to play the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4.

ESPN's Dianna Russini reported that the Titans will be shut down until Saturday.

City officials are expected to announce Thursday that a limited number of fans will be allowed for the Tennessee Titans' next home game, Oct. 4, against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The city had previously banned fans through September for both the Titans and Nashville's MLS team.

Four teams are hosting a limited number of fans in Week 2.

Isaiah Wilson was arrested Friday night for DUI, the Davidson County Sheriff's Office confirmed.

Wilson was the first round pick by the Tennessee Titans in 2020.

"We are aware of the situation," the Titans said in a statement. "This is not conduct that is indicative of the character of our football team and we are working through details on how to proceed."

Wilson agreed to a Breathalyzer test, which resulted in a blood alcohol level of .107. The limit in Tennessee is .08.

Wilson started training camp on the COVID-19 reserve list and struggled with conditioning once he was able to take part in practice. He was once again placed on the COVID-19 reserve list last week.

The New Orleans Saints attempted to acquire Jadeveon Clowney via a sign-and-trade, but the NFL said it would not be allowed.

The idea was for another team to sign Clowney and pay his signing bonus and then immediately trade him and his remaining salary to the Saints in exchange for a draft pick.

The other team essentially would have been "buying" a draft pick, which the NFL has never allowed.

The Saints were prepared to send a second-round pick and a player to the unspecified team.

Clowney instead signed with the Tennessee Titans.

The New Orleans Saints also aggressively pursued Clowney, but their best offer was $2 million less than the Titans.

Clowney is reuniting with Titans coach Mike Vrabel, who was his position coach and defensive coordinator when the two were with the Houston Texans.

While he had only three sacks in 13 regular-season games, Clowney ranked fifth in ESPN's pass-rush win rate (24.8%), scored two defensive touchdowns and was consistently Seattle's most disruptive defensive lineman.

Sean Payton has spoken with Clowney multiple times in hopes of reaching agreement on a deal.

The Tennessee Titans and Seattle Seahawks are also monitoring the situation.
