Jacobs: Barber's Comeback Is 'Phenomenal'
Brandon Jacobs is a big supporter of Tiki Barber as he attempts to make a comeback to the NFL.
Jacobs told the New York Post that not only does he believe 36-year-old Barber, who retired after the 2006 season, still can play, but that his ex-teammate is coming back for the right reasons.
"I thought it was absolutely phenomenal that he decided to come back," Jacobs said. "I thought it was good for him and I think he can still play, because he wasn't one to take a lot of big hits, and the type of game he played, I think he can be out for four years and be able to jump in and do it."
Giants Let Canty Workout
Chris Canty made the most out of his first post-lockout visit back to the Giants practice facility.
While other teams in the NFL did not allow players to do much in their practice facilities, the Giants opened their doors and let the defensive tackle into the weight room to get a workout in.
However, after letting Canty use the weight room on Tuesday, the Giants announced later in the evening that it will not allow players to work out at the facility on Wednesday should they show up.
Teams Lining Up To Court Ike Taylor
The NFL is currently stuck in a lockout, but there are a number of teams interested in soon-to-be free agent cornerback Ike Taylor.
The Giants, Eagles, Broncos, Rams, Cardinals and Texans are just some of the teams targeting Taylor, according to The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
The Ravens, Panthers, Redskins, Bears, Browns, Lions and Cowboys could also show interest in the cornerback.
"I still say the Giants, but I'm hearing Denver and Houston. St. Louis loves him a lot," said Dave-Te' Thomas, who operates Scouting Services Inc.
"The Giants have always been high on Taylor. And with his agent's relationship with the Giants, I could see them getting involved."
Remaining in Pittsburgh is an option as well.

With the NFL and its locked-out players mired in negotiations over a new labor agreement, the league on Tuesday announced its 2011-12 schedule, assuming the season starts on time.

Lawrence Taylor's name will not appear on an online sex offender registry list.

Vick Wants To Meet With Burress After Release
Michael Vick wants to visit with Plaxico Burress once the former Giants receiver is released from jail in June.
"I hope I can pay him a visit," Vick told the Philadelphia Daily News.
"I just want to reach out to him, talk to him. We have a good relationship ... just congratulate him on getting through such a tough time, even though it's not the ideal situation, let him know there's plenty of optimism out there for him. I don't think his career's over by far. You look at Terrell Owens, he's 37, and playing like he's in his late 20s."
Vick said he began thinking about 33-year old Burress last month, when Vick spoke with inmates in Florida.
The pair are natives of the Virginia Beach, Va., area.

Giants owner John Mara tried unsuccessfully to dodge jury duty on Tuesday before a judge denied his request.
The judge rejecting excuses that included the upcoming NFL draft and his role as a negotiator for team owners in the work stoppage that resulted from their dispute with players.
The confrontation occurred in U.S. District Court in Manhattan between John Mara and Judge Jed S. Rakoff after Mara was called to become the final alternate on a jury expected to hear a major international drug case for the next three weeks.
