Alvin Kamara is providing sponsorship for a car in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for this weekend's race the Daytona International Speedway Road Course.

Kamara will sponsor the No. 6 JD Motorsports with Gary Keller car driven by Ryan Vargas. The car will carry the branding of The Big Squeezy, which is Kamara’s juice bar chain in Louisiana.

"When this opportunity presented itself, I knew I couldn't let it slip by," Kamara said in statement. "I did a bit of research on Ryan as an individual and JD Motorsports and was impressed with what I read. I'm excited to play a small role in what they already have going on."

Drew Brees has agreed to reduce his 2021 salary from $25 million to the veterans minimum of $1.075 million, which is another indication he will likely retire this offseason.

Brees has not yet announced whether he officially plans to retire.

Sean Payton expects an announcement on the future plans of Brees within a week or two.

Brees will count just $12.225 million against the cap until June 1 -- which would be reduced to $11.15 million after he officially retires.

The New Orleans Saints have interest in retaining Jameis Winston at quarterback following the retirement of Drew Brees.

"We had a great exposure for one year with Jameis Winston. We didn't have a normal offseason, but we had enough time to see what we had with him as a player, as a leader, as an athlete. I really like what we had a chance to see," Payton said Wednesday.

"He was a tremendous leader for this team, and that's hard to do when you come in new in free agency your first year as a backup quarterback. So, that'll be an important check mark for us.

"A lot of times you want to hold your cards closer to the vest, and he is a free agent, but him, along with Taysom Hill ... we've said it all along, we're gonna develop and coach those guys. Jameis is one of those guys that we have a big interest in."

Winston signed a one-year, $1.1 million deal with the Saints last offseason.
