Fans Ready For Superdome To Reopen

Oct 23, 2014 4:51 AM

For a few hours Monday night, Harold Johnson hoped to forget about the storm that wrecked his home a year ago. He planned to sit with his neighbors outside his government-issue trailer and watch the Saints' first home game since Hurricane Katrina on TV. "I don't want to talk about Katrina. I don't want to talk about insurance. I don't want to talk about anything but kicking Falcon butt," Johnson said, referring to the Falcons as he stocked up on beer at a grocery store for the cookout with his neighbors.

San Antonio Back To Looking For NFL Team

Oct 23, 2014 4:51 AM

While the New Orleans Saints and NFL get ready for the biggest welcome-home bash ever, San Antonio is on the sidelines again, the gawky one left behind after the cool kids pick their teams. The Saints' return to their rightful home is cause for celebration, a rare bit of good news for the beleaguered, hurricane-ravaged city. But it also leaves San Antonio looking for an NFL team to call its own.

Saints Sell Out Entire Regular-Season

Oct 23, 2014 4:51 AM

The Saints officially sold out the entire regular-season home schedule in the Louisiana Superdome. It is the first time in the history of the franchise, founded in 1967, that every available seat is owned by a season ticket holder. One year after Hurricane Katrina displaced the Saints for the entire regular season and placed the NFL's future in New Orleans in doubt, Saints officials now are making plans for a waiting list. "We're now competing on that basis with places like New York, San Francisco ... Chicago and other major cities," owner Tom Benson said Tuesday. "This is just tremendous. People in New York and other places can't hardly believe what you all have done and people in this whole area have done."

Bush Says He, Family Did Nothing Wrong

May 21, 2014 2:11 PM

After practice Friday, Reggie Bush responded to questions about the report much the same as he did when the allegations of improper benefits first were reported earlier this year. "I'm not worried about any of these allegations or anything like that," he said. "Because I know what the truth is, like I said from day one. Once the smoke clears, everybody's going to see we did nothing wrong."

Special Report: Bush, Family Appear To Have Accepted Cash And Gifts

Dec 16, 2014 7:35 AM

An eight-month Yahoo! Sports investigation has revealed that Heisman Trophy-winning running back Reggie Bush and his family appear to have accepted financial benefits worth more than $100,000 from marketing agents while Bush was playing at the University of Southern California. The benefits, which could lead to NCAA sanctions for USC and retroactively cost Bush his college eligibility and Heisman, were supplied by two groups attempting to woo Bush as a client. Current Bush marketing agent Mike Ornstein and one of Ornstein's employees were involved. So were Michael Michaels and Lloyd Lake, who attempted to launch an agency called New Era Sports & Entertainment, pursuing Bush as their first client.
