Jul 10, 2014 12:47 AM

The Jaguars are still interested in Chiefs quarterback Tyler Thigpen. Kansas City is open to trading Thigpen, according to NFL.com's Jason La Canfora. Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli is asking for a third round pick for Thigpen, which is believed to be an awful lot for a quarterback of his caliber. Jacksonville's best offer for Thigpen has included a fifth-rounder.

Leftwich Holds No Grudge Against Jaguars

Aug 4, 2014 7:42 PM

Byron Leftwich will face the Jaguars as a quarterback for the Buccaneers on Saturday. "I've had time to heal. We had some great times there. That's why I never say anything bad about Jacksonville or the city or anything because I enjoyed my time there. It just didn't work out. We both move on, and we've both had success afterward, so there's no hard feelings," Leftwich told the Tampa Tribune. He isn't bitter over losing his starting job ahead of the 2007 season. "Right now, as I get older [29] and more mature, I understand in this league sometimes that happens. And when it happens, you've got to understand that it is a business. They've have had success, and I've had success, also. Now I'm a Buccaneer, and I'm happy to be a Buccaneer."

Jaguars, Monroe Still Working On Deal

Feb 12, 2014 9:56 PM

The Jaguars are still working on a deal with first-round pick Eugene Monroe. Monroe, a left tackle from Virginia, was the team's only no-show when camp started on Sunday evening. As of Sunday, a contract agreement didn't appear imminent between Jacksonville and the rookie. "It's going to get handled," quarterback David Garrard said. "It'll happen. He's not going to hold out for very long, hopefully. I know he wants to play this year, and the longer guys hold out, the less likely it is for you to get out on the field."
