Mar 29, 2024 10:25 AM

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed Foyesade Oluokun to a three-year extension worth $45 million with a max value of up to $48 million and includes $22.5 million guaranteed.

Oluokun was entering the final season of the three-year, $45 million ($28 million) contract he signed with the Jaguars in March of 2022.

Oluokun has led the NFL in tackles in two of the past three seasons (2021 with Atlanta and 2022 with the Jaguars) and has the most tackles of any player from 2021-23 (549).

Doug Pederson: Jaguars Will Consider Decreasing Travis Etienne's Reps

Mar 1, 2024 8:44 AM

After he had the third-most offensive touches in the NFL this past season, the Jacksonville Jaguars could limit Travis Etienne in 2024.

Etienne posted 849 of his 1,484 yards from scrimmage and eight of his 12 touchdowns in the first eight games of the season, so it's logical that he wore down at the end of the year.

During an interview with Matthew Berry of NBC Sports, Doug Pederson was asked about Etienne's usage.

"I think it's a little bit of everything," Pederson said. "He was getting it done. D'Ernest Johnson got hurt a little bit in there, and then Tank [Bigsby] was a rookie and learning and coming on. We really like Tank and he'll have a bigger impact for us this year for us. It's not the recipe, necessarily, to put Travis in that situation. So I would consider knocking a few of those reps down to keep him healthy throughout the course of the year."
