The Lions and Jaguars have finalized the trade that will send wide receiver Dennis Northcutt to Detroit.
As expected, Jacksonville will receive safety Gerald Alexander in the deal.
Alexander was a second-round pick in the 2007 draft.

The Jaguars have finally signed one of their 2009 draft picks.
Jacksonville announced Monday afternoon that tight end Zach Miller, a sixth-round selection, has agreed to a deal.
The team still has eight of their nine picks unsigned.
Sources: Northcutt Dealt To Lions
The Jaguars have traded receiver Dennis Northcutt to the Lions, according to sources.
In exchange for Northcutt, Detroit will send safety Gerald Alexander to Jacksonville.
The trade was agreed to on Friday and is expected to be finalized next week.
Agent: Jags 'Intend To Trade' Northcutt
The Jaguars are looking to trade Dennis Northcutt, according to the receiver's agent.
"They have indicated that they intend to trade him and are trying to do so," agent Jerome Stanley told ESPN in an e-mail.
Northcutt caught 88 passes for 1,146 yards and six touchdowns in 29 games for Jacksonville.
Jaguars Cut Quarterback Lemon
The Jaguars have cut quarterback Cleo Lemon, which means that Todd Bouman will step in as David Garrard's backup.
Lemon is free to sign with another team immediately.
