Ezekiel Elliott Embracing Shared Role With Tony Pollard

Sep 24, 2021 9:06 AM

Ezekiel Elliott is the second-highest paid running back in the NFL, but the Dallas Cowboys have lowered his usage through the first two weeks of the season.

Elliott has just 27 carries for 104 yards and a touchdown, while Tony Pollard has seen plenty of touches. He's generated 123 yards on just 16 carries with a score.

"It's a brotherhood. Every week we've all got the same goal, the same common goal and that's to go win football games. However we've got to do that, that's what we're going to have to do," Elliott said of sharing the workload with Polland.

"I'm happy to see Tony. I see the work he puts in. He's one of the hardest workers on the team and he's very talented. He deserves to go out there and play well."

Dak Prescott: 'I'm A Better Player' This Year

Sep 10, 2021 8:51 AM

The Dallas Cowboys lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night, but Dak Prescott looked great in his return from a gruesome ankle injury.

Prescott finished with 403 yards, matching his career high in completions (42) and attempts (58) to go with three touchdown passes and one interception.

"I don't feel like I say things just to say them, so that's just a credit to all the work I put in," Prescott said.

"I think when you invest that much work in rehab and prehab and just everything that has gone into the last 11 months for me to get on the field, I mean, I'm not surprised about the way that I went out there and fought. Ran the ball a couple times and did all the things that I'd normally do 11 months ago. No, I feel like I'm a better player than I was when I left the field [last year] and I told y'all that was the expectations I had for myself, and I'll continue to try to get better game in and game out."
