Josh Rosen Denies Wanting To Avoid Browns In Draft

Feb 27, 2018 9:55 AM

Josh Rosen denied previous reports that he feared potentially being drafted by the Cleveland Browns.

"I’ve never said anything about not wanting to play in Cleveland," said Rosen. "I don’t know where that came from. There's absolutely no foundation in reality in that (report)."

Rosen is expected to be one of the top selections in the 2018 NFL Draft after leaving UCLA and the Browns own the top overall selection.

Josh Gordon Remains Under Browns' Control As ERFA

Feb 22, 2018 8:46 AM

Josh Gordon will enter the new league year as an exclusive rights free agent as opposed to a restricted free agent, according to a report.

The Cleveland Browns maintain exclusive rights, which means the wide receiver can't negotiate on other teams.

Once the Browns tender a qualifying offer, Gordon's options are limited to signing the tender or sitting out yet another season.

Joe Thomas Lobbies Kirk Cousins To Consider Browns

Feb 16, 2018 10:39 AM

Joe Thomas wants Kirk Cousins to consider signing with the Cleveland Browns when he hits the free agent market next month.

Cousins tweeted on Tuesday that he and his family we're "interested in hearing where the best spot is for us."

Thomas replied: "I hear Cleveland is nice this time of year, that is, if you'd like to have a statue someday..."

Thomas then touted Cleveland as the perfect place for Cousins to become a hero. The Washington Redskins traded for Alex Smith earlier this offseason, signally the end for Cousins.

"You could make MORE money and MORE history in Cleveland than anywhere else, by FAR," Thomas wrote. "Don't just go and be another quarterback somewhere else!"

Browns Hire Scot McCloughan As Personnel Consultant

Feb 4, 2018 4:15 PM

The Cleveland Browns have hired Scot McCloughan as a personnel consultant ahead of this year's draft. The Browns hired John Dorsey as general manager.

McCloughan was fired as general manager of Washington last offseason.

McCloughan is widely considered one of the best evaluators of talent in the NFL.

The Browns have 12 picks in the 2018 draft, which includes the No. 1 and No. 4 overall choices and five picks in the first two rounds.

Prior to joining the Browns, McCloughan openly praised Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield as the QB he would favor if he were choosing one for this draft.
