Crabtree, 49ers Dominate Cardinals 24-3 (+16.7 TC, +6 TRC)

The San Francisco 49ers improved to 6-2 with a 24-3 win at the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals are now 4-4 after winning their first four games of the season.

The 49ers had a +16.7 advantage in The Trench Counter, averaging 10.7 yards per pass while limiting the Cardinals to just seven rushing yards on nine attempts. The 49ers had a +6 edge in Total Rushes/Completions.

Alex Smith completed 18 of his 19 pass attempts for 232 yards and three touchdowns, including two to Michael Crabtree in the first half. Smith also connected with Randy Moss on a 47-yard touchdown in the middle of the third quarter to extend the San Francisco lead to 24-0.

Frank Gore rushed 16 times for 55 yards, while Kendall Hunter added 43 yards on 10 carries.

John Skelton went 35-for-52 for 290 yards, one interception and four sacks.

The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Arizona Cardinals by a final score of 21-14 in a game that was made closer by a late Andre Roberts touchdown.

The Vikings, however, had a -5.0 deficit in The Trench Counter, bolstered by a pick-six touchdown on a day where the passing game struggled. The Cardinals also had a +16 edge in Total Rushes/Completions.

Adrian Peterson rushed 23 times for 153 yards and a touchdown.

Christian Ponder went just 8-for-17 for 58 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.

John Skelton struggled for the Cardinals, going 25-for-36 for 262 yards, one touchdown, one interception and a lost fumble.

LaRod Stephens-Howling rushed 20 times for 104 yards and a touchdown.

Kevin Kolb is out for as long as two months, which will leave the team with untested quarterback Ryan Lindley backing up John Skelton.

The Buffalo Bills handed the Arizona Cardinals their second consecutive loss, winning in Glendale by a final score of 19-16.

The Bills had a +0.3 advantage in The Trench Counter, as both teams put up nearly identical numbers except for penalties. The Bills had a +5 edge in Total Rushes/Completions.

C.J. Spiller rushed 12 times for 88 yards and a touchdown, along with four catches for 22 yards. Fred Jackson rushed 16 times for 53 yards and a touchdown.

Ryan Fitzpatrick went 18-for-32 for 153 yards.

William Powell did well in his first game as the Cardinals' featured back, rushing 13 times for 70 yards.

Kevin Kolb went 14-for-26 for 128 yards and an interception, relying almost exclusively on Larry Fitzgerald, who caught six balls for 93 yards and a touchdown.

Larry Fitzgerald was fined $7,875 for his facemask of Janoris Jenkins as the Rams' cornerback was about to intercept a pass from Kevin Kolb.

Fitzgerald also arguably saved a touchdown return on the interception.

Ryan Williams will miss the remainder of the 2012 NFL season due to a shoulder injury.

Williams missed his rookie season with a torn Achilles' tendon.

The Arizona Cardinals, who are already without Beanie Wells and LaRod Stephens-Howling, will likely start William Powell.
