Cardinals Assistant Taken To Hospital After Fainting

Cardinals assistant coach Donnie Henderson fainted and had a minor car accident before the team faced the Cowboys on Saturday night. Henderson was taken to a nearby hospital for further examination, he was described as coherent after the incident. The car smashed into a barricade but Henderson was not hurt.

Fitzgerald Prefers Remaining With Arizona

Even though Larry Fitzgerald has had a frustrating 2010 in his first season without Kurt Warner, he prefers to remain with the Cardinals in the long-term. "I want to stay here. I enjoy playing for coach [Ken] Whisenhunt. I enjoy working for the Bidwills," Fitzgerald said in an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday. "They've always treated me good since I first got here. This is all I know. I can't ever say that I want to go anywhere else."

Deion Sanders Adds Fuel To McNabb, Arizona Rumors

The Cardinals are in need of a quarterback and the team has been linked to Donovan McNabb in the past. Deion Sanders added fuel to the rumors on Friday with a message posted on his Twitter page. "You heard it from Prime 1st. McNaab to Arizona. Back to the crib and you will be wanted and needed and you inherit 2 good backs and rec," Sanders wrote.

The Patriots clinched the NFL's first playoff berth by routing the Bears, while the Colts, Falcons, Jaguars, Steelers, Buccaneers, Saints and Chargers all improved their postseason chances. Indianapolis 30, Tennessee 28 Trench Counter: Colts +2.4, Titans -2.4 The Indianapolis Colts (7-6) got back on track with a narrow win over the Tennessee Titans (5-8) on Thursday night. Peyton Manning went 25-for-35 with 319 yards and two touchdowns, which both went to Pierre Garcon. Javarris James and Donald Brown combined for 87 rushing yards and a touchdown. Reggie Wayne had four receptions for 106 yards, while Garcon posted six catches for 93 yards and the aforementioned scores. Kerry Collins played very well with 244 yards and three touchdowns, including two in the fourth quarter. Chris Johnson rushed 22 times for 111 times and a score, while also catching eight passes for 68 yards. Tennessee tight end Bo Scaife caught four passes for just 20 yards, but he hauled in two touchdowns. Buffalo 13, Cleveland 6 Trench Counter: Bills +10.6, Browns -10.6 The Buffalo Bills (3-13) got their third win in five games as they topped the Cleveland Browns (5-8) at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Ryan Fitzpatrick went 14-for-23 with 142 yards and a touchdown, which came on a second-quarter pass to wide receiver David Nelson. Fred Jackson led the Bills in rushing with 29 rushes for 112 yards. Matt Ryan went 20-for-34 with 227 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Michael Turner was one of the week?s top offensive stars with 112 yards and three rushing touchdowns. Roddy White hauled in eight catches for 79 yards, while Tony Gonzalez had four receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown. Jimmy Clausen had 107 passing yards and an interception. Calvin Johnson had just one reception, but it went for a team-high 44 yards. Rodgers was 7-for-11 with 46 yards and an interception before his injury and Matt Flynn went 15-for-26 with 177 yards and an interception in his place. Rodgers ran for a team-high 25 yards and was injured on a scramble. Andrew Quarless was Green Bay?s leading receiver with five grabs for 62 yards. Jacksonville 38, Oakland 31 Trench Counter: Jaguars -5.4, Raiders +5.4 Maurice Jones-Drew ran for a 30-yard touchdown to break a tie late to give the Jacksonville Jaguars (8-5) a win over the Oakland Raiders (6-7). David Garrard went 11-for-22 with 159 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. Rashad Jennings rushed five times for 109 yards and a score, while Jones-Drew added 101 yards and a score on 23 touches. Chad Henne had just 55 yards and a touchdown, while Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams had 89 total rushing yards. Brandon Marshall caught a touchdown pass, while Anthony Fasano had a team-high 33 receiving yards. Mark Sanchez went 17-for-44 with 216 yards and an interception. New York lost despite limiting Miami to just 131 total net yards and only six first downs. LaDainian Tomlinson rushed 19 times for 48 yards and Jericho Cotchery led the Jets with five catches for 69 yards. San Diego 31, Kansas City 0 Trench Counter: Chargers +22, Chiefs -22 The San Diego Chargers (7-6) shutout the Kansas City Chiefs (8-5), who were without Matt Cassel in a very important divisional game. Philip Rivers went 18-for-24 with 226 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Mike Tolbert, Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles combined for 184 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Malcolm Floyd was San Diego?s top receiver with four catches for 51 yards and two scores. Brodie Croyle started and went 7-for-17 with 40 yards and was replaced by Tyler Palko on Kansas City?s last offensive series. Jamaal Charles, who signed a lucrative contract on Sunday, rushed ten times for 40 yards. The Chiefs were forced to punt eight times and they had just 67 net yards.

Skelton To Start For Cardinals

Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt has named rookie John Skelton as his starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Broncos. Derek Anderson has missed practice this week with a concussion and hasn't been cleared to play and Max Hall went on the injured reserve list. Arizona quarterbacks have combined to throw just eight touchdown passes this season -- second-worst in the NFL -- against 16 interceptions.

Cardinals Sign QB Richard Bartel

The Cardinals have signed quarterback Richard Bartel after placing rookie Max Hall on the injured reserve. Hall, an undrafted rookie out of BYU who started three games earlier this season, dislocated his left shoulder on Sunday against the Rams. Bartel was released by the Redskins in their final roster cut on Sept. 4.

The Cardinals will start Derek Anderson at quarterback despite his postgame rant following Monday night's loss to the 49ers. Arizona coach Ken Whisenhunt said he's "not going to read much into a couple of seconds of what you see on video." "I'm going to base it on what I know about those guys and their demeanor and their approach," Whisenhunt said. "Listen, we have a lot of issues that we have to get corrected. That's a small one compared to the other things we have to do."
