Warner's Agent Talking To Niners
Kurt Warner and the Cardinals were unable to secure a deal before he became a free agent and his agent is saying whether or not he will meet with other teams.
"I really don't want to get into the specifics with that," Mark Bartelstein said. "Obviously, people are calling."
Warner's agent has had in-depth conversations with San Francisco 49ers officials, a source told Len Pasquarelli of ESPN.com.
Warner, Cardinals Can't Get Deal Done
Kurt Warner's agent Mark Bartelstein and the Arizona Cardinals couldn't reach an agreement on a new deal.
Warner will become a free agent at midnight Thursday.
Bartelstein boarded a flight Thursday evening for his home in the Chicago area, but he said he would keep in contact with the Cardinals.
Warner is hoping to land a contract around in the range of the top five quarterbacks in the NFL, $14 million to $16 million a year.
The Cardinals have offered $10 million to $12 million.
Warner, who wants a two-year deal, will likely retire before playing for another team.
Agent: Warner Deserves Pay Of Top 5 QB
Agent Mark Bartelstein believes that Kurt Warner deserves to receive pay indicative of his perceived status as a top five quarterback in the NFL.
Bartelstein says that the top five quarterbacks in the league average a salary of roughly $14.5 million annually.

The Cardinals are now offering free-agent quarterback Kurt Warner more than $10 million to return to the team next season, according to a source.
Warner is hoping to land a contract that would pay him as much as one of the top five quarterbacks in the NFL.
Top five quarterbacks make between $14 million and $16 million a year. The Cardinals, according to a source, are believed to be offering between $10 million and $12 million a year.
Cards' GM: No Definitive Decision On James
Cardinals general manager Rod Graves spoke with Edgerrin James this week, but still hasn't made a decision on what the team will do with the running back.
"We have not made a definitive decision on Edgerrin James," Graves said. "We did have a conversation during the season where that was an acknowledgment how he felt about him being with us after the season. We said we would sit down and talk about it after the season was over.
"But there was no commitment with respect to a timeframe or even that we would let him go."
Warner Is Leaning Towards Return
Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner has admitted that he is leaning towards a return to the field next season.
"I am leaning in that direction," Warner, 37, told the Arizona Republic. "Not sure I have made a definitive decision yet."
Agent Mark Bartelstein said his client is coming back. He told the Republic that Warner, "wants to play, for sure."
Warner will become an unrestricted free agent on Feb. 27.
Cards' Boldin Open To Long-Term Deal
Wide receiver Anquan Boldin has had a change of heart, and is now open to discussing a long-term deal with the Cardinals.
Drew Rosenhaus, Boldin's agent, told Cardinals general manager Rod Graves that, while his client remains receptive to a trade, he is willing to sign a long-term deal with Arizona.
Report: Cardinals To Tag Dansby
The Cardinals are expected to place their franchise tag on linebacker Karlos Dansby, according to NFL Network's Adam Schefter.
The move would pay Dansby $9.6 million, and lock him up for the 2009 season.
