Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin is in the process of firing his agent Drew Rosenhaus, according to an Associated Press on Tuesday. Boldin, in a long dispute with the team, informed the NFL Players Association in a letter that he wanted to replace the agent. The players association says it received the letter on Friday, so with the required five-day waiting period, Boldin can sign with a new agent this Thursday.

NFL.com?s Steve Wyche confirmed through the NFL Players Association that Anquan Boldin filed papers to fire agent Drew Rosenhaus on May 22. By NFLPA rules, Boldin isn?t allowed to hire a new agent until five days after filing the papers. Rosenhaus had this response on his Twitter page today: ?Regarding Anquan Boldin, let me say I have great respect for him. Former Chicago Cardinals offensive lineman David Glenn Lunceford has died at 75 after a lengthy illness, according to the Associated Press. Lunceford died Saturday in a Texas nursing home. He had Alzheimer's, according to an obituary.

Cardinals president Michael Bidwill, who was at the NFL Spring Meetings, said Wednesday, ?We?ve worked hard at getting Anquan Boldin extended and we?ll continue to do those things.? Boldin?s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said that even though Boldin is still open to be traded, a deal can be reached. ?We can work out a deal with the Cardinals and we have put forth an offer to them,? Rosenhaus said. Regarding that offer, Rosenhaus said he has made a proposal for a deal that would average less than $10 million a year and that the numbers are ?consistent with the top receivers in the game. Not the highest paid but it?s consistent with the top guys.? Boldin, a Pro Bowler, has two years and $5.75 million left on his contract and has been outspoken about getting a new deal or being dealt for months.

Linebacker Karlos Dansby is seeking a new contract from the Cardinals and did participate in Tuesday's OTA. He said he expects his situation to be resolved soon. "I definitely have confidence in the organization," he said.

Arizona will make a pitch to NFL owners this week to host the 2013 Super Bowl. Miami and New Orleans are looking to host the big game that year as well. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said last season that he expects Arizona to see more Super Bowls in part because of strong Bidwill family lobbying.

The Eagles reportedly offered the Cardinals a third-round pick and Sheldon Brown for Anquan Boldin last month. According to the Arizona Republic, the offer was made just days after Brown publicly requested a trade due to unhappiness with his contract. The Eagles had no comment on the rumors Friday.

Drew Rosenhaus sent out a Tweet that reports regarding Anquan Boldin's contract demands are incorrect. "Reports that Anquan Boldin is seeking a contract worth $10 million per yr are inaccurate," wrote Rosenhaus. "We recently made a proposal to the Cards for less."

Eagles coach Andy Reid said on Tuesday in an interview with WIP-AM (610) that the team inquired about Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin prior to last month's draft. He added that Philadelphia felt the price was too high, hinting that Arizona wanted a first-, third- and fifth-round pick. "That's a lot of picks, No. 1," Reid said. "And then you're going to pay the guy $10 million. So you get hit on both sides of it."
