Miles Sanders believes the Philadelphia Eagles have the makings of something special on offense.

After finishing with the NFL's top ranked rushing offense last season, they added A.J. Brown to the receiving group.

"Oh man," Sanders said when asked what it was like preparing for a season with Brown on the roster. "We all feel like we're on an all-star team, so we feel great. We feel unstoppable, I'm not gonna lie. The vibes are great, always have been."

Sanders is entering the final year of his rookie contract with the Eagles.

After missing nine games last season with calf and ankle injuries, Kareem Hunt says he's fully healthy.

"I'm good, I'm 100%. I have some time to heal this offseason and get back to it," Hunt said. "So body is feeling good, nothing's bothering me."

The Cleveland Browns are 13-6 the last two seasons when both Nick Chubb and Hunt have played.

The Seattle Seahawks continue to be linked to Baker Mayfield, but less than a month away from training camp they still have just Geno Smith and Drew Lock at quarterback.

That's fine with K.J. Wright, who believes Smith should be the starter for the Seahawks in 2022.

"I'll tell you not Baker Mayfield," Wright told I Am Athlete Tonight on SiriusXM. "Not Drew Lock. We ain't gonna play those games. I'm team Geno all day."

Smith has been with the Seahawks for two seasons now, and he played in four games with three starts last year when Russell Wilson was hurt. 

"Geno was good," Wright said.

"He was scout team quarterback. The dude has a cannon for an arm. He's intellectual, you know, having those two-minute drills during practice throughout the week, the man can play. Just trust him, just trust Geno. And what I said was whoever you decide to be your starting quarterback, the other guy has got to leave. You cannot have both those guys in the building throughout the season. Because what's gonna happen? Let's say game three or four they're not playing as well. What are the fans gonna do? ... 'Put the backup in.' And so to hell with all that, whoever's the starting quarterback, the other guy, you've got to trade him or cut him."

Deshaun Watson's disciplinary hearing has dragged out this week without much news on an expected outcome.

However, the Associated Press reports that the NFL "wants to avoid the appeals process -- source said 'a terrible situation for everyone involved' -- so league is more likely to abide by Sue Robinson's ruling if she came back with 6-8 games."

The league would rather settle the situation as quickly as possible, than have the Cleveland Browns quarterback suspended indefinitely and have the NFLPA enter an appeal.

Daron Payne is heading into the final year of his rookie contract and could hit free agency next year.

Ron Rivera said earlier this offseason that the Washington Commanders had "tremendous interest" in keeping both Terry McLaurin and Payne for the foreseeable future.

McLaurin received a lucrative contract extension this week.

Washington has received trade calls about Payne, but thus far they've rebuffed offers for the defensive tackle, according to a report.

He was the No. 13 pick in the 2018 draft.

Baker Mayfield hasn't completely ruled out a return to the Cleveland Browns, but he also said that both sides are ready to move on.

Mayfield's status remains in question in the wake of the Browns acquiring Deshaun Watson via trade. The possibility remains that Watson will be suspended for all, or most, of the 2022 season.

"I think for that to happen there would have to be some reaching out," Mayfield said of a return to the team. "But we're ready to move on, I think -- on both sides."

The Browns signed Jacoby Brissett this offseason to start if Watson is suspended.

Deshaun Watson's hearing before the NFL and NFL Players Association's jointly appointed disciplinary officer, Sue L. Robinson, will resume Wednesday.

The sides met for the first time Tuesday and the hearing may continue into later in the week.

Watson has been accused by 25 women of actions ranging from sexual assault to inappropriate behavior during massage sessions.

The NFL is expected to push for a suspension of at least a year, according to a report.

The NFL has announced David Highhill as vice president, general manager of sports betting, the league's first position solely focused on overseeing its business in the legal sports betting industry.

Highhill, who has been with the NFL for 10 years, moves over from the corporate strategy group, where he led the league's go-to-market sports betting initiatives.

In his new role, he'll be tasked with leading efforts to protect the integrity of the game from gambling-related harm, advance the league's brand and reputation, grow the value of the NFL's data and intellectual property and drive fan engagement globally.

The Washington Commanders have agreed to a three-year contract extension with Terry McLaurin, according to sources.

The extension gives McLaurin $71 million in new money and includes a $28 million signing bonus. The bonus is the largest-ever for a wide receiver.

McLaurin is now tied to the Commanders through the 2025 season.

Joe Mixon is pretty high on the Cincinnati Bengals entering the 2022 season.

"To be honest, I feel like we might be the hottest thing smokin' in the NFL on Sundays," Mixon said.

"With the talent we got and who we added onto this year, I feel like we're bound to have a hell of a season. The best thing about it is we've been there before, and we know how to get there. We've just gotta stick to the basics, one week at a time, and that's what's gonna happen."

Cincinnati lost 23-20 to the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI, but they upgraded a number of their weaknesses this offseason.
