Seahawks Call Team Meeting To Discuss PED Issue

Dec 11, 2014 1:46 PM

The Seattle Seahawks have accounted for 10 percent of the NFL's 50 PED suspensions since 2010.

Bruce Irvin was the most recent member of the Seahawks to receive a suspension.

Kam Chancellor and other veteran Seahawks called a team meeting to discuss the issue.

"We had our meeting. The vets put a meeting together to talk to the guys about not making the same mistakes over and over," Chancellor said. "You know, we gotta grow up and move past that. So that's pretty much the message right now -- growing up and not making the same mistakes over and over."

Seneca Wallace was out of the NFL last season, but is competing for a backup job with the New Orleans Saints.

"It was refreshing because it was the first time I had been away from football in a long period of time so I can kind of sit back and look from the outside looking in and see how football was," Wallace said on Thursday.

Wallace has primarily been a backup during his nine NFL seasons between the Seattle Seahawks and Cleveland Browns.
