Jerramy Stevens, the Seahawks' starting tight end, had surgery Tuesday on his left knee and is expected to miss the minicamps.
Stevens, who caught three passes for 25 yards and a touchdown in Super Bowl XL, is expected back in time for training camp at the end of July. That means Seattle goes into the first minicamp with only one experienced tight end, Itula Mili, who has a history of skipping the offseason practices for personal or contract-related reasons.

Law Expects Offer From Seattle
Free-agent CB Ty Law has talked to one of his former teams, the New England Patriots, about a possible return, the Boston Globe reported Thursday. Law visited the Seahawks last week, and his agent told the Globe that he was expecting an offer from the Seahawks.
Law Likes The Opportunity To Win In Seattle
Ty Law loves the opportunity to win in Seattle and feels that he still has a lot left to contribute.
"What's there left for me to do? There's a whole lot left to do," Law said Monday during a telephone interview from an airport in Florida, where he was catching a plane to New York City to visit his 6-year-old daughter, Tya.
"I've made five Pro Bowls. I should have made nine, because I feel I got ripped off for four others," he added. "The last time I went to the Super Bowl (after the 2004 season with the Patriots), I feel like I got shorted because I didn't get to play in that game.
"So I'm still trying to play catch-up. That's just what I do with my own psyche, to want to improve."
Seahawks Re-Sign Josh Brown
The Seattle Seahawks re-signed restricted free-agent kicker Josh Brown on Monday.
Terms weren't immediately available, but the team had tendered Brown a one-year offer for approximately $720,000 last month.
Brown made 18 of 25 field-goal attempts last season, including game-winning ones against Dallas and the New York Giants. He tied Norm Johnson's team record with five field goals made of 50 yards or more.
Seahawks Expect Visit From Law
The Seahawks expect to have free-agent cornerback Ty Law in for a visit. Law, 32, has won Super Bowls with the New England Patriots and was a Pro Bowl selection as a New York Jet last season.
The 11-year veteran tied for the NFL lead in interceptions with 10 in 2005. The Jets released Law in February as a cost-cutting move.
