Blaine Gabbert Injures Ankle

Blaine Gabbert was carted off the practice field on Monday with a sprained ankle.

Gabbert injured the ankle during 11-on-11 drills and will be evaluated over the next few days.

Chad Henne will have an opportunity to emerge as the starting quarterback of the Jacksonville Jaguars in Gabbert's absence.

Jaguars receiver Justin Blackmon is recovering from groin surgery, according to an ESPN.com report on Friday.

Blackmon, limited during last month's three-day minicamp because of a nagging groin injury, had surgery recently but could be back in time for training camp.
