Phil Dawson has agreed to sign with the San Francisco 49ers.
Dawson, longtime placekicker for the Cleveland Browns, will replace David Akers.
The 49ers were also considering Lawrence Tynes.
Paul Kruger and the Cleveland Browns have agreed upon a five-year, $40 million deal.
