Ochocinco's Cereal Phone Number Goes To Sex Line

Aug 4, 2014 3:48 AM

A phone number intended to connect callers to Feed the Children, which benefits from sales of Chad Ochocinco's cereal, but the box has the wrong toll-free prefix. Callers instead get a seductive-sounding woman who makes risque suggestions and then asks for a credit card number. Cincinnati-based Kroger Co. said Thursday it was pulling all Ochocinco cereal boxes from its grocery shelves because of the error.

Benson Still Dislikes RB Rotation

Oct 29, 2014 2:59 PM

Cedric Benson was held under 100 yards rushing for the third consecutive week, something he is unhappy with but will avoid discussing publicly. ?He won?t let you guys or any media lead him down that path anymore that way,? Marvin Lewis said. ?Some days he?ll get some carries. Some days he may not. Sometimes we might throw it. We?re going to win some games. We?re going to play 16 games, and hopefully play 16 games with Cedric. Bernard (Scott) is going to carry the football this year more than he did last year. Cedric is going to have less carries at the end of the year. But hopefully he?s going to have 16 games where he carries the football and on into whatever is after that.? Benson admits he?s not thrilled about a rotation and Scott carried it just twice Sunday, one for 12 yards. ?Bernard?s a good spell when he gets in there to make a quick play, a good play,? Benson said. ?I?m not a big fan of a whole lot of rotating during the season. I?ve already expressed to those guys when to keep them fresh during the week and let the dogs loose on Sunday.?

Benson Questions Cincinnati's Lack Of Running Game

May 20, 2014 3:01 AM

Cedric Benson wondered aloud about how the Bengals have gone away from the running game early in 2010. ?I don?t know. With all those players and names you brought up (Terrell Owens, Jordan Shipley, Jermaine Gresham) they?re all, except for one, directly involved in the passing game. So, I mean, if I had to guess, it seems that that?s kind of the route that we?re trying to go, which can be a bit frustrating because we were successful running the football last year and being a power team. Being that type of team got us where we ultimately wanted to be, which was in the playoffs. I don?t know what would be the reason the team would want to change their identity, unless in the past season it didn?t work. But that?s not the case here. And, I mean, I don?t know. I guess whoever?s making those shots, or calling those shots, you got to kind of roll with the punches.?

Bryant's Agent Files Grievance Against Bengals

Lamont Smith, the agent for wide receiver Antonio Bryant, has filed a grievance against the Bengals for $3.1 million he believes is owed to his client. Smith said $3.1 million comes from the $1.55 million base salary that Bryant had been scheduled to earn this season in Cincinnati and the $1.55 million roster bonus that was due to him. The Bengals have seven days to respond to the grievance and decide whether they want to settle. Cincinnati cut Bryant last month, after paying him nearly $8 million in guaranteed money this offseason.
