Bengals Refute Palmer Injury Report

Jul 6, 2014 6:07 AM

Carson Palmer and the Bengals refuted a report on the Web site profootball talk.com which had a tip that Palmer injured his right shoulder Monday at Indianapolis, possibly tearing the rotator cuff, and said he was undergoing tests. He walked off the field at halftime with his right arm hanging limply and appeared to be in pain following a Raheem Brock sack. "Everything's fine," Palmer said after practice. Palmer is expected to practice today, Bengals public relations director Jack Brennan said. "He was rested today and is expected to fully participate (Thursday)," Brennan said. "The coaches and trainers (say) he came out of the Indianapolis game with a sore shoulder. "Reports of a serious structural injury are unfounded."

Colts, Bengals Look To Get Back On Track

Oct 31, 2014 8:34 AM

The Colts were the best regular-season team in football and the Bengals were AFC North champs last year. This year, both were expected to make a Super Bowl push. Instead, they're both looking for a late-season charge to get their playoff hopes back on track. "It's better that way, not to be in a comfort zone where everything is already set in stone, but sort of clawing your way, digging your way out of this hole," Bengals receiver Chad Johnson said. "Fighting for it is a lot better than just it being handed to you."

Oct 31, 2014 8:41 AM

Playing with a chance to win a title, the Ravens crossed midfield once in the first three quarters. Their fearsome defense got caught flat-footed by a sandlot play. T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught a 40-yard touchdown pass on a flea-flicker Thursday night, sparking the Bengals to a 13-7 victory that kept the AFC North title up for grabs. "It's huge," quarterback Carson Palmer said. "We're rolling now. Hopefully we'll wind up getting a spot in the playoffs."
