Bengals linebacker Rey Maualuga got emotional when explaining his past troubles on Monday. He served about a month in rehab following an offseason arrest for DUI. "All I can say is you're looking at a different guy, a different person," Maualuga said. "I just hope the city of Cincinnati would accept my apology and hopefully help me through all of this."

The Bengals will meet with Texas safety Earl Thomas on April 1-2, according to a source. Thomas is a first-round prospect and widely regarded as the second-best safety in this year's draft behind Tennessee star Eric Berry. Cincinnati has the 21st overall pick in next month's NFL Draft.

At least three teams are showing interest in free-agent cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones, according to his agent. Agent Ray Savage said he hoped to set up in-person visits with the Lions, 49ers and Bengals in the near future. "Nothing's imminent, and I'm hopeful to schedule visits here in the next week or two," said Savage.

The Bengals have reached a one-year deal with safety Roy Williams, according to agent Jordan Woy. Williams and defensive tackle Tank Johnson were two of the primary free agents on defense that Cincinnati needed to retain in free agency.

Antonio Bryant has agreed to four-year deal with Cincinnati Bengals. Bryant's contract is worth $28 million, a source told ESPN.com's John Clayton. With incentives, he could make as much as $29 million. Cincinnati's addition of Bryant considerably lessens the possibility that the Bengals will sign Terrell Owens. Receiver Chad Ochocinco has been lobbying for the Bengals to sign Owens since the end of last season, when the Bengals' passing game lacked a deep threat. "There's always been the speculation and perception out there [about coming to Cincinnati] and Chad kick-started it and lobbied to have me here as a teammate and I welcome it with open arms," Owens, who made a visit to the Bengals, told the Cincinnati Enquirer. Bryant made a visit to Cincinnati on Tuesday, but ultimately left before completing a deal with the team. It had been reported that the Washington Redskins and the Miami Dolphins were interested in acquiring Bryant as well.

Terrell Owens is headed to Cincinnati to see if the Bengals are interested in his services. Owens tweeted on Tuesday that he was on his way to meet with team officials. Cincinnati needs at least one proven receiver after releasing Laveranues Coles.

The Bengals are considering restricted free-agent wide receiver Brandon Marshall. Marshall spent Sunday in Seattle meeting with the Seahawks, but NFL sources claim that the Bengals are looking at him, Terrell Owens and Antonio Bryant. Denver tendered Marshall with a first-round pick last week.

The Bengals are interested in free-agent wide receiver Terrell Owens, according to his agent. Agent Drew Rosenhaus told SIRIUS NFL Radio on Friday night that Cincinnati does in fact have interest. "Right now, I would say that everyone knows that the Cincinnati Bengals have expressed some interest in Terrell, and they have spoken with him and myself," Rosenhaus said. "Where we go from here, I'm not sure, but I think it's at least a positive dialogue. ... And we'll just see how that plays out. But certainly that's something that is a possibility. I guess that's about the most I can say right now."

The Bengals released Laveranues Coles on Thursday, exactly one year after he signed a four-year contract to replace T.J. Houshmandzadeh. The Bengals also got rid of three tight ends, an indication of their top priorities in free agency and the draft.
