The Bengals have placed cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones on the injured reserve because of a neck injury that may require surgery. Jones has a herniated disk in his neck. "It looks very promising for him," agent Tom Hunter said. "Do not ever count this man out. He is going to be back."

Owens acknowledged on Tuesday that he violated the policy by sending a tweet an hour before the Bengals kicked off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 5.

Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco hopes that the return of trash talk with improve his play on the field. Ochocinco said he plans to run his mouth a little bit more to get the passing game going. "I haven't been the Chad of old, the Chad that we're all used to -- the boisterous, sometimes borderline cocky, arrogant," he said. "But that's the way I am and that's what everybody feeds off as a city and as an organization, and I haven't been that. "I think when I do come back [from the bye], I'm going back to the Chad of old." He has 26 receptions for 316 yards and a touchdown this season.

Cincinnati's police chief is apologizing to Bengals cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones. Police said Jones was questioned after he drove his vehicle over a downtown curb to avoid another vehicle or pedestrian in his way on Sunday. Chief Tom Streicher said at a news conference Monday that the police department made a mistake and that Jones did nothing wrong.

Pacman Jones Cuffed By Police

Bengals cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones was handcuffed and detained but released without being charged with a crime or arrested Sunday afternoon. The arrest followed an auto accident near Great American Ball Park, Cincinnati Police said Sunday night. Police handcuffed Jones after he drove a silver Jaguar onto the sidewalk near the Reds' ball park. A witness said Jones swerved to avoid the car in front of his and jumped the curb onto the sidewalk.

Bengals wide receiver Terrell Owens appears to have violated the NFL's rules against using social media before games. A post on the Twitter account of Owens noted that a fan wearing his jersey at the Bengals' game against Tampa Bay would get a football signed by him and Chad Ochocinco. The message was posted an hour before kickoff, violating the NFL's social media policy that prohibits posts 90 minutes before a game.

Owens Moves Into Second-Place On Receiving List

Bengals wide receiver Terrell Owens moved into second place on the all-time receiving list with a standout performance on Sunday against Cleveland. Owens caught 10 passes for 222 yards and his first touchdown with Cincinnati, who lost to the Browns and dropped to 2-2. "Obviously, we came up short," said Owens. "There are some of the things that we've tried to address as far as getting the ball down the field more. We did a little bit of that, but we just didn't do enough." Owens (15,325 yards) moved into second place, jumping over Isaac Bruce and he trails only Jerry Rice (22,895 yards) on the all-time list.
