Lewis Upset Over Backlash From Ochocinco Comments

May 20, 2014 2:47 AM

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis strongly shut down any talk of his comments about Chad Ochocinco to San Diego media on Wednesday. "This is stupid," said Lewis. "Don't let someone else lead you down that path." He said his comments about Ochocinco were not meant to be taken as a negative or any different than previous comments he has made about the receiver. Lewis was asked during Wednesday's conference call by a San Diego reporter how Chad was doing. He responded by saying: "Well, he's being his mopey self. Hopefully, he can pull himself out of it and move forward ... When things don't go Chad's way, that's kinda how it happens." Ochocinco heard about the comments and responded via his Twitter account. "Since when the (heck) am I ever mopey? I'm injured for the 1st time in 9 years and it's called being mopey, unless I'm dead then I get respect... Did anyone get the license plate to the bus I was just threw under?"

Palmer Unlikely To Take Pay Cut To Stay With Bengals

Jun 17, 2014 11:39 AM

It's highly unlikely that Carson Palmer will take a pay cut to remain with the Bengals past this season. Palmer is projected to be one of the NFL's highest-paid players in 2011 with a base salary of $11.5 million, which leads many to believe the two sides will part ways. Cincinnati has yet to discuss its offseason plans with Palmer, but if he's unwilling to accept a pay cut that minimizes the team's options.

T.O. Blames Coaches For Bengals' Struggles

Nov 12, 2014 8:37 PM

Terrell Owens is blaming Cincinnati's coaching staff for the team's lousy season. Fellow Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco asked Owens during "The T.Ocho Show" on Tuesday night why he thinks the team is 2-11. "I think there's underachieving from the top down," Owens said. "You start with the owner, you start with the coaches. And obviously we as players, we are a product of what the coaches are coaching us throughout the course of the week. "Of course, we have to go out there and play the game. But in order for us to do what we're allowed to do at the best of our abilities, the coaches have to put the players in the best position."
