Cardinals Still Have Questions About Kolb

May 16, 2014 10:15 PM

The Cardinals are very much in need of a quarterback, but they still have questions about acquiring Kevin Kolb from the Eagles. The rumor is that Kolb is "likely headed" to the Cardinals "probably for a couple of second-round draft picks" once the lockout is lifted, but that "there are still some concerns about Kolb among Arizona coaches." "They wonder about his decision-making" and if he's "the right fit for coach Ken Whisenhunt's offense," according to Scout.com.

Fitzgerald: Don't Look Into Workouts With McNabb

Jul 25, 2014 1:16 AM

Donovan McNabb has been working out with some members of the Cardinals this spring out of convenience and nothing else, according to wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. "Donovan has lived down here in Arizona for the last 10 years," Fitzgerald said. "He lives right up the street, and obviously I'm a big fan of his and I have been following his career since he was at Syracuse. We've been good friends over the years, and he works out when he wants to with us. It's not really a big deal. There are a lot of guys on other teams working out with us, so it's more about guys getting the work in, and at the end of the day, we're a fraternity." The Cardinals are in need of a quarterback and have been linked to McNabb, who is believed to be done with the Redskins.

Philadelphia's Kevin Kolb is still first on Arizona's wish list.

Report: Cardinals Aren't Interested In McNabb

Jul 25, 2014 3:46 PM

The Cardinals are in need of a quarterback, but they aren't interested in Donovan McNabb. The Arizona Republic reports, without citing information, that "the Cardinals aren't interested." McNabb isn't expected to return to the Redskins after spending one season with the team following a trade from the Eagles. "The next couple years, we'll see what happens," McNabb told the newspaper. "Who knows where I'll be anyway? I'm looking forward to that and when that time comes, step in there and be ready to go."

Cardinals, Seahawks Most Likely To Land Kolb

Sep 14, 2014 12:13 AM

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Cardinals and Seahawks are the most likely teams to land Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb via trade. Schefter said on NFL Live on Tuesday that both teams discussed a trade after last season, as did the Bengals and 49ers. Arizona and Seattle passed on drafting quarterbacks last week, while Cincinnati and San Francisco grabbed one. "I think that when the lockout is lifted, there's no doubt that the Philadelphia Eagles are going to trade Kevin Kolb," Schefter said. "I think at this point in time, it's fairly certain that he's going to wind up in the NFC West. Right now, all signs point to Kevin Kolb somehow finding his way to Arizona, which would make Larry Fitzgerald very happy, which would make the Cardinals an instant contender in the NFC West, and it would make them the team that they were a couple of years ago when Kurt Warner was playing quarterback, rather than last year when they had the quarterback carousel. "Kevin Kolb is going to get dealt from Philadelphia, most likely going to be to the NFC West, and right now all signs point to Arizona."

Warner Likes Palmer As Option For Cardinals

Oct 14, 2014 9:22 AM

Former Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner likes Carson Palmer as a possible solution to the team's issues at the position. Warner appeared on The Dan Patrick Show and was asked about Arizona's quarterback situation. He said he talked to Ken Whisenhunt recently and the coach asked him his opinion on quarterbacks. Patrick asked Warner, out of Kevin Kolb, Palmer, Donovan McNabb and Marc Bulger, who would Warner's pick be for the Cardinals. Warner picked Palmer, who is still under contract with the Bengals.
