The Las Vegas Raiders have agreed to a one-year contract with free agent cornerback Marcus Peters, a source confirmed to ESPN on Monday.

Peters, 30, is a three-time Pro Bowl player who was a free agent for the first time after his least productive NFL season. After missing all of the 2021 season with a torn ACL, Peters wasn't the same defensive playmaker last season for the Baltimore Ravens, recording a career-low one interception.

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who spent his offseason recovering from a foot injury, passed his training camp physical, a league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Sunday.

Garoppolo, a source told ESPN, will be worked into practice "at the right pace" to start camp and "wouldn't call it slowly" after the quarterback did not participate in any on-field activities during the offseason workout program.

The Las Vegas Raiders and Josh Jacobs have interest in a long-term deal but the two sides couldn't come to an agreement before Monday's deadline.

The running back was sitting in a car in the parking lot of the team facility with teammate Maxx Crosby at the deadline, ready to sign if a deal was consummated, according to a report.

Jacobs indicated in a social media exchange that an extension didn't get completed because of a lack of security, not a disagreement in salary.

"We never tried to reset the market," Jacobs wrote.

There is no indication the sides are close to a long-term deal, but deadlines tend to prompt action.

Jacobs is set to make $10.1 million on the franchise tender this season.
