The New York Jets have acquired Joe Flacco from the Philadelphia Eagles for a 2022 sixth round pick, which can improve to a fifth round pick.

Flacco spent the 2020 season as the Jets' backup.

Zach Wilson will be sidelined at least two games with a sprained knee. 

The New York Jets have agreed to a four-year, $55 million contract extension with defensive end John Franklin-Myers, a source has confirmed.

The deal carries around $30 million guaranteed.

Franklin-Myers, 25, was in the final year of his rookie contract, making $920,000 in 2021. The extension puts him under contract through 2025.

The NFL will have played 30 games in London once this year's two contests are held in the next two weeks.

The New York Jets and Atlanta Falcons, both 1-3, will square off this Sunday morning. In Week 6, the 1-3 Miami Dolphins and winless Jacksonville Jaguars will play each other.

Zach Wilson has struggled in situations when he's held onto the football through his first three professional games.

The New York Jets rookie quarterback is 26-of-34 for 158 yards and a touchdown when getting rid of the football in 2.5 seconds. He's taken eight of his 15 sacks when holding the ball for more than 4.5 seconds.

"If the pocket’s breaking down quicker, I need to be able to get the ball out of my hands faster," Wilson said. "Sometimes if I got to skip a couple reads and get the ball to my check downs, feeling that, and it's really just reacting to what they've given me. I think every single week that can just keep getting better."
