Nov 24, 2021 7:20 AM

Zach Wilson is returning as the starting quarterback for the New York Jets.

The No. 2 overall pick has been sidelined the past four games with a sprained knee.

Joe Flacco: I'm Not Vaccinated, Won't Discuss To Avoid Distractions

Nov 18, 2021 8:44 AM

Joe Flacco is the latest NFL player to acknowledge publicly that he's unvaccinated.

"I'm not vaccinated," Flacco said when asked directly ahead of his first start of the season for the New York Jets.

Asked to discuss his reasons, Flacco said he didn't want to create a distraction.

"I definitely have my reasons," he said. "Honestly, I probably like to talk about this topic more than anybody. It’s one of those things that you debate with all the time. But overall I’ve felt like it’s more of a distraction than anything. So I feel like to kind of talk about it too much and give you all my beliefs, is more of a distraction than anything. I think the most important thing is going to play the football game."

Jets To Start Joe Flacco Against Dolphins

Nov 18, 2021 8:29 AM

The New York Jets will start Joe Flacco at quarterback against the Miami Dolphins in Week 11.

Zach Wilson is still recovering from a knee injury and Mike White struggled this past Sunday.

Robert Saleh said he wanted Flacco, 36, to face the Dolphins because his "calm and experience" would help the offense against Miami's blitz-heavy defense.

The Jets were hoping that Wilson, who remains day-to-day after a PCL sprain nearly four weeks ago, would be ready to face the Dolphins.

Jets Expect Mike White To Be Ready By Next Game

Nov 5, 2021 8:54 AM

Mike White's storybook run as the New York Jets' quarterback was interrupted on Thursday night when he suffered an injury to his right forearm in the first quarter.

The Jets expect White to be recovered by next week, setting up a major decision for Robert Saleh.

"We feel good about him getting healthy over the weekend and being ready for next week," Saleh said of White, who made his second start for the injured Zach Wilson (sprained knee). Wilson, too, should be ready for practice, sparking a potential quarterback controversy.

The coach refused to tip his hand. "We'll see," he said. "It's day to day."
