Nate Solder Opts Out Of 2020 Season Citing Family Concerns

Nate Solder has opted out of the 2020 season due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.

Solder cited family concerns, including his son's battle with cancer and his own bout with cancer. He also has a newborn son.

Solder was diagnosed with testicular cancer during a routine physical prior to the 2014 season.

Solder signed a four-year, $64 million contract with the Giants in 2018.

Players considered high risk for COVID-19 can earn $350,000 and an accrued NFL season if they opt out.

Giants Release Aldrick Rosas In Wake Of Arrest

The New York Giants are releasing Aldrick Rosas just days before the start of training camp after his arrest earlier this summer, according to sources.

Rosas, 25, was charged with three misdemeanors stemming from a June 15 hit-and-run crash in California. He faces charges of reckless driving on a highway, hit-and-run property damage and driving while suspended/revoked for DUI of alcohol/drugs.

The kicker could still face discipline from the NFL.
