Baker Mayfield was surprised to see the New York Giants draft Daniel Jones earlier this year.

"Blows my mind," the Cleveland Browns quarterback told GQ. "Some people overthink it. That's where people go wrong. They forget you've gotta win."

Jones was 17-19 at Duke before the Giants made him the sixth overall pick.

"Either you have a history of winning and being that guy for your team or you don't," he told GQ.

Golden Tate is considering legal action against a doctor who prescribed him fertility medication.

Tate will lose $1.2 million in salary due to the suspension.

Tate claims the doctor told him the drug was not banned by the NFL.

“I have been thinking about this since April and May,” Tate said. “This has been on my mind. I have lost a lot of sleep. It’s kind of hurt me to my core having to explain to the organization what is going on. I’m just ready to move forward. I just want to play football. You look at me. I am not trying to cheat.”

Tate signed a $37.5 million contract as a free agent with the Giants in March. 

Players can use fertility drugs but they must get approval before taking them.

“Initially the doctor said it was not a banned substance and he had given it to other NFL players, that’s why I trusted it and kept living my life,” Tate said.

Golden Tate has lost his appeal for a performance enhancing drug violation and will be suspended for the first four games of the season.

Tate signed with the New York Giants this offseason.

Tate claims the failed test was due to taking a banned substance as a fertility treatment.
