Vikings Rookie Jaylen Twyman Shot, Expected To Make Full Recovery

Jun 22, 2021 9:40 AM

Minnesota Vikings rookie defensive tackle Jaylen Twyman was one of several victims wounded during a shooting in Washington, D.C., on Monday.

Twyman was in a vehicle when he was shot four times, according to agent Drew Rosenhaus. He's expected to make a full recovery.

Twyman was shot in the arm, leg, buttocks and shoulder. He is expected to be released from the hospital this week and "there doesn't appear to be any long-term injuries that would prohibit him from playing this season," according to Rosenhaus.

Vikings Expect Danielle Hunter At Mandatory Minicamp

Jun 15, 2021 8:58 AM

The Minnesota Vikings expect to have Danielle Hunter back this week during mandatory minicamp, according to a source.

The defensive end missed the team's entire voluntary offseason program.

Hunter, 26, sat out last season with a herniated disk that required surgery last October. At the time of his surgery, it was reported that he was unhappy with the state of his contract and wanted a reworked deal ahead of the 2021 season.
