Dalvin Cook Expected To Miss Two Games

Nov 30, 2021 2:05 PM

Dalvin Cook suffered a dislocated shoulder on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers, according to a source.

The Minnesota Vikings expect Cook to miss at least the next two games, with the hope that he can return for the Dec. 20 game against the Chicago Bears, the source said.

Mike Zimmer wouldn't disclose the nature of Cook's injury on Monday, only saying the running back is "day-to-day."

Dalvin Cook Carted Off, To Have MRI On Shoulder

Nov 29, 2021 8:48 AM

Dalvin Cook was carted off the field late in the third quarter after suffering a shoulder injury. He was ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's Minnesota Vikings-San Francisco 49ers game.

Mike Zimmer did not have an update on Cook's condition following the Vikings' 34-26 loss but said the running back would undergo an MRI on Monday.

Cook was injured after being brought down by Kevin Givens following a handoff. He lost the ball in the process of being tackled and immediately grabbed for his chest with his right arm when he hit the ground.

Dalvin Cook Accused Of Assault, RB Denies Claims

Nov 10, 2021 9:09 AM

Dalvin Cook allegedly assaulted, battered and falsely imprisoned former girlfriend Gracelyn Trimble, per a lawsuit she filed Tuesday in the Dakota County District Court (Minnesota).

Cook's attorney, David Valentini, responded to the filing with a statement, in which he states that Trimble broke into Cook's home on Nov. 19, 2020, and assaulted the running back along with two house guests.

Police were never called regarding the incident and no charges have been made.

"We recently received notification from Dalvin Cook's legal representative regarding a situation that occurred between Dalvin and a female acquaintance in November 2020 and led to an ongoing dispute between the parties," the Minnesota Vikings said in a statement.

"Upon learning of this, we immediately notified the NFL. We are in the process of gathering more information and will withhold further comment at this time."

Xavier Woods: Vikings Prepared To Face Dak Prescott, Not Cooper Rush

Nov 1, 2021 9:28 AM

Minnesota Vikings safety Xavier Woods says the team prepared to face Dak Prescott, not Cooper Rush, heading into Sunday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Prescott, who is dealing with a calf injury, was limited in practice Wednesday through Friday and was listed as questionable on the final injury report. His status was in question throughout the week.

Rush ended up throwing for 325 yards and two touchdowns -- including the go-ahead score with less than a minute to play in regulation -- in a 20-16 Dallas victory.

"We were just preparing for 4 [Prescott]," Woods said. "We kind of thought they were going to still run the same offense. So, we just prepared for 4 all week. We didn't get the word [that Rush was going to start] until pregame, so we just prepared for 4 but we watched a couple clips of Coop. But during the week, we just prepared for 4."
