The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Thursday that LB Derrick Johnson and G/T Ikechuku Ndukwe have signed their restricted free agent tenders.
Johnson (6-3, 242) has played in 74 games (61 starts) with Kansas City (2005-09), recording 424 tackles (334 solo) and 13.0 sacks (-90.0 yards). He also owns six INTs for 200 yards with two TDs, 31 passes defensed, 11 forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and 21 QB pressures. Johnson entered the NFL as a first-round selection (15th overall) of the Chiefs in the 2005 NFL Draft.

Report: Jets Could Have Matched Jones' Offer From Chiefs
The Jets were given a chance to match the contract offer running back Thomas Jones received from the Chiefs, according to Pro Football Talk.
"Per a league source, the Jets had a chance to match the two-year, $5 million contract that the Chiefs paid to running back Thomas Jones, but opted not to do so," the report said.
New York released Jones last week after failing to pay him a $3 million roster bonus and possible $2.8 million salary for 2010.
Chiefs Sign WR Jerheme Urban
The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Thursday that the club has signed free agent WR Jerheme Urban.
Urban (6-3, 207) has seen action in 47 games (six starts) with Seattle (2003-05) and Arizona (2007-09), catching 87 passes for 1,231 yards with seven TDs. He has also recorded 13 special teams tackles and completed one pass for 18 yards. Urban owns six games of postseason experience with Arizona, including Super Bowl XLIII. He recorded a career-high 34 receptions for 448 yards with four TDs with the Cardinals in 2008. Urban spent a portion of the 2006 season on the practice squad with Dallas after originally entering the NFL as a rookie free agent with Seattle in 2003.
Chiefs Sign Thomas Jones
Kansas City Chiefs announced on Tuesday that the club has signed free agent RB Thomas Jones.
Jones (5-10, 212) has appeared in 148 career regular season games (107 starts) in 10 NFL seasons with Arizona (2000-02), Tampa Bay (2003), Chicago (2004-06) and the N.Y. Jets (2007-09). He has recorded 2,280 carries for 9,217 yards with 62 TDs, as well as 289 receptions for 1,858 yards with three scores. Jones owns 32 career 100-yard rushing games, including seven in 2009. The Chiefs have signed running back Thomas Jones to a two-year deal with $5 million, a league source says.
Jones was released by the Jets last week after being due a $3 million roster bonus and a $2.8 million base salary in 2010.
Chiefs Give Chambers Three-Year Deal
The Chiefs have reportedly signed wide receiver Chris Chambers to a three-year contract.
A source said the deal could be worth up to $15 million, with $5.9 million in guaranteed money.
Fargas To Visit Chiefs Tuesday
Former Raiders running back Justin Fargas plans to visit with the Chiefs on Tuesday.
Fargas was released by Oakland on Saturday and says there's no chance of a return.
"I don't see that happening, no," said Fargas.
Chiefs Sign Vrabel To Extension
The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Thursday that the club has signed LB Mike Vrabel to a contract extension.
Vrabel (6-4, 261) has played in 190 regular season games (124 starts) in 13 previous NFL campaigns with Pittsburgh (?97-00), New England (2001-08) and Kansas City (2009). He has recorded 746 tackles (495 solo), 57.0 sacks (-346.5 yards), 11 INTs with one TD, 40 passes defensed, 18 forced fumbles, eight fumble recoveries and 16 QB pressures. He also owns nine career TD receptions.
Chiefs Release Darling, Savage
The Chiefs have released wide receiver Devard Darling and running back Dantrell Savage.
Darling, 27, has 37 career receptions for 578 yards with four touchdowns.
Savage played in 13 games for Kansas City, recording 25 carries for 98 yards and nine receptions for 51 yards.
