Chiefs May Move Albert To Right Tackle

May 8, 2014 8:20 AM

Branden Albert, who was taken at No.15 in the 2008 draft, has played left tackle both of his seasons in the NFL. He has been slow to develop and Kansas City may use the No. 5 overall pick on a left tackle. That would enable Albert to move to right tackle. Several NFL scouts believe Albert will be a more effective right tackle than a left tackle.

Lions Coach Tampering With K.C. Players?

Jul 8, 2014 1:21 PM

Lions defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham may be overstepping his boundaries regarding his interest in some of Kansas City's players. "They keep wanting to dump players," Cunningham said late last season. "I would like to be there to catch a lot of them, because I know a couple of those guys." He worked as the defensive coordinator of the Chiefs from 2004 to 2008. "Some of those young kids I coached, I really believed they were going to be good players, and I know I'm right about that," Cunningham said. "Now what's happened there is the same thing in any organization. A new guy comes in, and they decide to go to the 3-4 defense when the structure of the personnel was built for the 4-3."
