Shortly after being traded to the Dallas Cowboys for a seventh-round pick, kicker Seth Marler failed his physical due to a groin injury, thus nullifying the deal.
"He's coming back, and we're still in the process of deciding what we're going to do with him,'' Jaguars vice president of personnel James Harris said.

Cowboys Aquire Kicker Marler From Jacksonville
The Dallas Cowboys acquired kicker Seth Marler from the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2006.
Marler will compete with Jose Cortez for a job left vacant by the release of Billy Cundiff.
To make room for Marler, the Cowboys released cornerback Lance Frazier.
Jaguars Sign DB Mathis Through 2011
The Jacksonville Jaguars and defensive back Rashean Mathis agreed to a $25.5 million five-year contract extension Tuesday that will keep Mathis in Jacksonville through the 2011 season. The deal includes $9.4 million in guaranteed money in signing and roster bonuses.
"I kind of get a little tongue-tied when I try to describe it,'' he said. "I love being here and I love that I have this new contract. It's a great feeling. You couldn't paint a better picture.''
Fred Taylor Will Make Debut On Thursday
Running back Fred Taylor, still recovering from a knee injury, will make his preseason debut Thursday night against the Atlanta Falcons.
Taylor had surgery to repair two partially torn knee ligaments in January. He started running during summer workouts, but was limited to one practice a day during training camp and did not participate in any contact drills.
Coach Jack Del Rio said Monday that Taylor will play sparingly against the Falcons, then will sit out the preseason finale at Dallas because the game is on artificial turf. The Jags open the season at home against Seattle on Sept. 11.
"We're just excited to get Fred out there and get a look at him this week," Del Rio said. "He's probably practiced more in this camp over the last few weeks than he had in any of the previous two camps that we've been here. He's had a lot of work, he just hasn't had the live contact. So we'll give him a little taste of that Thursday night."
