Broncos To Start Brett Rypien At Quarterback Week 4

The Denver Broncos will start Brett Rypien at quarterback in Week 4 against the New York Jets.

Vic Fangio also said there is a chance Jeff Driskel, who started the Buccaneers game, would play in some situations against the Jets.

Drew Lock started the first two games but suffered a right shoulder injury in Week 2.

Jurrell Casey Out For Season With Torn Biceps

The Denver Broncos have lost Jurrell Casey for the season with a torn biceps.

Casey is a five-time Pro Bowl selection at defensive tackle.

Vic Fangio believes he saw, when re-watching the game video Sunday night, when the injury happened in the second half.

"Like with a lot of injuries, they don't seem as bad (at first) as what they end up being and guys are able to finish (the game),'' Fangio said.

Broncos Sign Blake Bortles To One-Year Deal

The Denver Broncos have agreed to sign Blake Bortles to a one-year deal.

The Broncos will be without Drew Lock for three to five weeks with a shoulder injury.

Jeff Driskel will start Sunday's home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Brett Rypien is expected to serve as backup after moving from the practice squad to the roster.

Borles was backup quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams last season.

NFL Issues $100k Fines To Kyle Shanahan, Vic Fangio, Pete Carroll

The NFL has issues significant fines to Vic Fangio, Pete Carroll and Kyle Shanahan for not wearing masks on Sunday.

Each of the three coaches received a personal fine of $100,000, while their teams were each fined another $250,000.

The NFL issued a warning after Week 1 to coaches to wear their mask on the sideline.

Brandon McManus has agreed to a four-year, $17.2 million extension with the Denver Broncos.

The deal includes $9.5 million fully guaranteed. 

McManus has a career field goal percentage of 81.5 percent.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton suffered a sprained AC joint during Thursday's practice.

Sutton had 72 receptions for 1,112 yards and six touchdowns in 2019, his second professional season.

It remains to be seen if Sutton will be ready for Week 1.

Von Miller injured a tendon in his ankle during practice on Tuesday and is expected to undergo season-ending surgery.

Miller has been a Pro Bowler in every season of his career other than 2013.

Miller tore his ACL in 2013, but recovered to remain one of the NFL's best pass rushers.
