NFL's 32 Teams Collectively Worth $99 Billion

Aug 26, 2020 1:29 PM

The average NFL franchise is worth more than $3 billion, according to data compiled by Sportico.

The Dallas Cowboys rank first in the NFL at $6.43 billion with the Cincinnati Bengals ranking last at $2.12 billion.

The fair-market value of the NFL's 32 franchises collectively is $99 billion when considering team-related businesses and real estate held by owners.

The teams’ $15.83 billion in revenue in the last fiscal year, which represents the 2019 season, was greater than that of 298 companies on the Fortune 500. That averages to about $495 million per team.

In 2019, the Cowboys generated an estimated $871 million in revenue, which was 81% greater than the average of the other 31 teams.

Melvin Gordon Struggling To Adjust To Denver Altitude

Aug 17, 2020 9:39 AM

Melvin Gordon is entering his first season with the Denver Broncos and has discovered the difficulty of adjusting to the vastly different altitude.

"I'm struggling a little bit, I'm struggling a up here little bit with the altitude,'' Gordon said. "What I keep hearing is when we play other places, we won't even get tired so I'm looking forward to that.''

Gordon has essentially split the plays with Phillip Lindsey with the starting offense in camp's early going.

"Right now it's tough, trying to finish downfield, and things like that," Gordon said. "It's real dry, I'm trying to drink water every second, lips are dry. That's the biggest adjustment, working all offseason and coming here and still feeling like you're not in shape because of the altitude."

Phillip Lindsay: Don't Need Melvin Gordon To Motivate Me

Aug 12, 2020 9:01 AM

Phillip Lindsay says he didn't need the Denver Broncos to add Melvin Gordon to the roster to motivate him.

Despite Lindsay rushing for more than 1,000 yards in each of the last two seasons, the Broncos signed Gordon to a two-year, $16 million deal in free agency.

"I don't need another man to fuel my fire," Lindsay said. "I know what I want for my family and that's what fuels me. For me, honestly, nothing changes. I go out there and I produce when my number is called. I make big plays like I always have, and I go from there."

Von Miller Considered Opting Out Of 2020 Season

Aug 4, 2020 3:41 PM

Von Miller considered opting out of the 2020 season.

Miller tested positive for COVID-19 in April.

"I thought about it,'' Miller said. " ... I thought about all of my family, I took serious consideration and the things that could possibly happen. It's not a 100% bubble like basketball, so there are always going to be holes, but I felt like the job the Broncos were doing to keep us safe was enough for me not to opt out.''

Miller has asthma and regularly uses an inhaler.
