The Cleveland Browns have ruled out Odell Beckham Jr. for their Week 2 game against the Houston Texans.

The Browns also ruled out Beckham shortly before week 1.

Kevin Stefanski said that Beckham would keep practicing on a limited basis and had not suffered any setback as he continues to work his way back from the left knee injury.

Beckham had surgery on the knee after suffering a torn ACL in Week 7 of last season.

Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns have yet to hold substantive talks on an extension.

If Mayfield plays well during the 2021 season, he could be in line for an extension with an annual average of approximately $40 million. 

Josh Allen, who was also in Mayfield's draft class of 2018, signed an extension with an average of $43 million per year. Lamar Jackson could also sign an extension in the same range.

Mayfield, however, has yet to reach a Pro Bowl.

Mayfield is already under contract in 2022 for his option tender of $18.858 million.
