Joe Burrow: 'Losing Isn't Very Fun'

Sep 18, 2020 9:18 AM

Joe Burrow didn't lose a game at LSU last season, but he's already lost twice with the Cincinnati Bengals.

"Losing isn't very fun," Burrow said after Thursday's 35-30 loss to the Cleveland Browns. "This might be the only time in my sporting career that I have lost two games in a row. It doesn't feel very good. I know that the guys in there are hurting. We are going to come back to work tomorrow and try to get this thing right. Losing is unacceptable to me, to everyone in there, to coach [Zac] Taylor and to everybody in this organization. We are just going to have to get it fixed."

The Bengals drafted Burrow first overall after going 2-14 last season.

"I will never adjust or accept losing," Burrow added. "That is just something that is not in my mindset so this 0-2 start is really hurting me. I know it is hurting Coach and everybody in there. We will never adjust to losing. We will never accept losing. We are just going to have to get it right."

Joe Burrow Gives Himself 'D' In Debut

Sep 14, 2020 9:20 AM

Joe Burrow quickly took the blame for the Cincinnati Bengals' 16-13 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.

The rookie quarterback gave himself a "D" despite being one play away from scoring the game-winning touchdown in the closing seconds.

A missed 31-yard field goal in the final seconds prevented Burrow and the Bengals from forcing overtime.

"At the end of the day, I made too many mistakes for us to win the game and we didn't make enough plays," the quarterback said.
