Seahawks Acquire Carlos Dunlap From Bengals

Oct 28, 2020 2:51 PM

The Seattle Seahawks have acquired Carlos Dunlap from the Cincinnati Bengals for B.J. Finney and a seventh round pick in the 2021 draft.

The Seahawks' defense has allowed the most yards of any team through six games in NFL history, and their pass rush has been a primary issue.

The Bengals asked Dunlap not to come to the team's facilities as they sought a trading partner.

Dunlap had two years remaining on a contract extension that was set to expire at the end of the 2021 season.

Bengals Tell Carlos Dunlap To Stay Home Amid Trade Talks

Oct 28, 2020 8:47 AM

The Cincinnati Bengals have told Carlos Dunlap to stay home rather than come to work as the team sorts out his future, according to sources.

They have had trade talks centered around the pass-rusher.

After the Cleveland Browns scored a game-winning touchdown on Sunday, Dunlap reportedly got into an argument with defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo regarding playcalling.

Dunlap, a former Pro Bowler, has spent all 11 seasons of his career with Cincinnati.

A.J. Green Wants To Stay With Bengals Despite Frustrations

Oct 16, 2020 8:45 AM

A.J. Green is frustrated with his season thus far but wants to remain with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Green met with the media on Thursday for the first time since television cameras caught him apparently telling a staffer that he should be traded if the team couldn't use him effectively.

"I think we're building something special here, and I just want to be a part of the team and help us win," Green said.

Green understands the perception of a potential rift between him and Zac Taylor but said that's not the case. Green said he and Taylor had a "great conversation" and that the coach understands the frustration and what happened on Sunday.

"I think we're all frustrated about the way we're playing because we're way better than what we're putting on tape," Green said. "For me, I just have to channel that frustration and keep playing like I have for the last couple of years."
