The Cleveland Browns have hired Alex Van Pelt as offensive coordinator.

Van Pelt spent the past two seasons as quarterback coach of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Van Pelt played quarterback for 11 seasons in the NFL, with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.

The Miami Dolphins have interest in trading up to select Joe Burrow, according to a source.

Stephen Ross is driving the interest in Burrow, who the Cincinnati Bengals are expected to select first overall.

The Dolphins have the draft capital to try to move up from No. 5 to No. 1 if the Bengals are willing to listen.

Burrow had a historical season at LSU, winning the Heisman and National Championship. 

The Cincinnati Bengals are disputing an ESPN report that they wouldn't trade the No. 1 pick.

"I don't know that any decision has been made for what we're going to do in April," director of player personnel Duke Tobin told the team's website. "We're early in the process. We certainly haven't had any meetings to determine that at this point. Those will be meetings we'll have as we go through the process."

Adam Schefter reported that the Bengals have no intention of trading the top draft position, citing league sources.

Joe Burrow doesn't have any reservations about playing for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Jimmy Burrow, the father of the Heisman Trophy-winning LSU quarterback, told Montreal's TSN 690 radio on Thursday that his son is ready if he's the No. 1 pick this spring.

"He's excited to even be in that conversation and if the Bengals do draft him, he's going to be happy," Jimmy Burrow said.

Alabama junior quarterback Tua Tagovailoa says he will announce his decision Jan. 6. on whether he'll return to play for his senior season or declare for the 2020 NFL Draft.

Tagovailoa has been regarded as a possible No. 1 overall selection for quite some time, but he had his season derailed when he suffered a dislocated hip and posterior wall fracture against Mississippi State.
